As for searching for form that can be pretty much said of every player at the club and i'd take issue about Cusack being better than Dowes.

And that could be one of the reasons why we'll always lose the forward battle!

His stats are comparable with any prop in SL and is well thought of at Hull despite what the 'fans' might want.

As you have said both are similar types of player. Dowes makes more metres and more tackles per match. He also finds his front better imo and gets a swifter ptb. Neither are big offloaders of tackle busters.

There is not too much between them but there is no way the Cusack is better than Dowes to the point that he is worth paying off or using just as back-up.

I think he is an average prop now having once been a very good prop. His stats look comparable because he plays 60-70 mins rather than the standard 40 mins. He offers us graft, which we have with Cusack. I wouldnt play 2 60 minute grafters in the squad of 17. I'd have 1 and then 3 more powerful props that need rotating.

Why should we carry a forward? 3 great props and 1 average one next season if Dowes plays for me.

Think on average Dowes plays more minutes per match too. Disagree with all of your other points too.

I like Dowes and don't want him to leave, but that comment is very wayward. Cusack is probably the best player at the club for finding his front and getting a quick play the ball.

Yup, mainly due to his size and strength. He also has the better defensive ability due to his size and regularly contributes to 2 man tackles where Dowes needs a 3rd man to finish it off. Cusack every time for me.

He does have a contract, but he has had 1 good game in 2 or 3 seasons and should be allowed to leave by choice or by force.

Ive said for a while now that i would use Lee and Houghton as hookers for next year with Berro either in the right centre or gone.

Have to say I cant agree with Gekko about Dowes having a quick PTB at all. Having said that I would rather have Dowes than Cusack simply on the quota side of things, though I can see the reasons behind the club re-signing him.

the way lee is playing i would say he is better then houghton and i dont think you would have berro at centre because craig hall has been playing well since he came back from widnes and berro i think is a lazy player but good i think we need to keep berro because hes the only one that really creates anything at the club. He also put tickle i would say tickle is 1 of the best if not the best player at the club atm
