The one who tells me stuff about fc (who works at the club) can not tell me anything rumour wise due to a big code of secrecy (sp) at the club after Gentle went mad that a certain rumour surfaced and wanted to put an end to it all .

a mates Dad knows Lee Radford quite well and tried tapping him up for some information and he said pretty much the same, Radford said that only Pearson,Gentle & mcrae knew the names in the frame and were keeping them very close to their chests. September could be very intereesting as long as peolple don`t expect every signing to be superstar names.

I like this rumour but would have thought that the club would announce it straight away if true, why hold it back? AP has made it clear we want him, London lawyers etc...... unless the contract (subject to visa) and pre-deadline (subject to visa) registration with the RFL needs ratifiying for him to play against Widnes

my understanding is he cannot play for us this season, he cannot have a visa for two employers at the same time, we may have received an "agreement in principle" and not much else, a few people may be getting ahead of themselves.

And in honesty, I hope he doesn't get a visa, he's been conviced twice.

While I'm sure we would all prefer Chase to be the ideal role model, if he signs, then as with all players he starts with a clean slate.

He's represented England so I would be more than happy to see him in B&W, I'm sure any contract will contain the relevant clauses regarding on field / off field discipline

Roosters fans don't seem happy with the signing although none of them have even seen him play apparently. I'd be happy if they sent Mose Masoe over to us seeing as they don't expect him to feature much for them next season.

Well I know that, but it could be argued he doesn't deserve a visa and could only get one due to expensive lawyers finding loop holes.

I suppose that you have got to hope that all of this has been a massive wake up call for him, sadly most of the evidence relating to players carrying baggage, seems to suggest they cant "change their spots". Some coaches feel they can handle it and are prepared to put up with a bit of extra "monitoring" if they deliver on the field.
Does make you wonder whether the cynical comments at the time he "made himself available for England" about it all being to enhance his chances of staying in the UK, rather than any real desire to switch his allegiances, had the ring of truth.
At the end of the day if he delivers on the pitch and keeps his nose reasonably clean off it (he will be in a massive spotlight I would think) then that is all you can hope for. This assumes it does all go through.
