I think most fans would be ok with that scenario as long as the "right " appointment was made.

TBH,
The board dont fill me with confidence, with their previous appointments.
It wouldnt shock me, if they picked from:

Webster.
McNamara
Darryl Powell.

It's fair comment from Jake though really. Given the limited vision and ambition that our board possess, Noble is the best we can realistically hope for and he is a million times better than what we currently have, so I'd be really pleased with his appointment. Whether I'd still be as pleased that he's in the job three years down the line is debatable.

| Ellery Hanley for me, he will have the respect of the players and he's done a good job at the teams he's coached, only trouble is he doesn't take any crap of the board so I don't think they would even consider him.

He's another one that wasn't apparently popular with the players when he was at Saints, but I'm sure he won the double with them, our most successful coach in recent years in Kear got the boot because some senior players didn't like him, Look at how popular Agar is with players such as Fitz and Ogre, being popular with the players definitely isn't the bee all and end all.

| I have been reading these Agar out style threads for god knows how long now and I am still yet to read a single post which states exactly what it is they think another Coach could do better (other than some waffle about Interchanges).
Has anybody posting on here actually attended a training session and had access to session plans and info?
Is anyone on here able to give first hand knowledge of what is said by Rich in the dressing room, on the training pitch, in his tip sheets, at video sessions?
Does anyone on here actually know how he has asked the players to play?
The fact is the guy is battling against so many issues I do not understand what it is you think any other Coach coming in would do differently.
For example, last night, less than 24 hours after an embarrassment of a performance, 3 very senior players were smashed out of their skulls with Wille Mason, one of them so bad he fell down the stairs, in the City Centre.
Is that right do you think? Professional? Agars fault?
Your CEO decided that instead of being at the KC Friday night supporting his team and coach he would go on a weekend break.
Is that right do you think? Professional? Agars fault?
There are two examples from this weekend alone. People could post daily on here with similar examples of how the staff of the club are taking the pee out of the fans.
I can tell you 100% Rich Agar isn't. The guy is busting a gut to try and put things right and get the best out of the players.
You could argue he signed these people and that he should be able to control them but be honest, how many would of said no to Tansey when he signed?
How many of you would say no when the board bring O'Meely, Fitzgibbon, Luaki, Long etc to you and ask if you want them?
I can understand why Agar is getting the blame and I dont think he has helped himself with his press conferences and certain selection choices but he doesn't like talking to the media and the selections were what he wholeheartedly thought would do the best possible job for that game.
Terry Matterson very rarely does Sky, he is not a media whore, it does not make you a bad coach.
Hopefully Agar will be still in a job for the rest of this season and some of the pi55 takers at the club wont because I feel sorry for you lot who are paying their wages after seeing the state of them last night.

| I'm not sending players names to anybody, sorry.
I understand if this will make people doubt it's the truth but I dont think it is right.
The reason I named WIllie Mason is because to be fair he seemed pretty much in control and the worst he did was standing there pumping his fist in the air whilst chavs chanted his name

It is scientifically proven that alcohol consumption within 2 days of a game hinders the recovery process massively. It is also a rule at many pro clubs that players dont drink for at least 24 hours after a game.
Even with permission do you really think it is clever to be doing it in front of the people who pay their wages the day after an embarrassing performance?
I dare not even ask what your opinion is on white powder

All totally irrelevant, we don't need to know any of those things to make a judgement because whatever Agar is trying to do, it isn't translating into results and that's what matters. Agar's willingness to try his best isn't really in doubt, it's a question of his ability to do the job and over the last three years he's shown he doesn't have it. It's a fairly impassioned defence from someone who appears to know the man, but it's just another set of excuses. You're quite right in that maybe the club will never reach it's full potential unless deep-rooted changes are made to numerous areas of the club, but that alone isn't reason enough for Agar to keep his job. I'd put my house on Noble doing a much better job given identical circumstances.

What do you want Agar to do, go round to the players houses and check they are in bed? Justin Morgan has bouncers looking out for him but even he cant stop his players going out and gave up on driving round looking for them a long time ago.
And Rule not being there has nothing to do with how the team perform but why would a CEO think he can take a break during the season like that? I am tyring to show examples within the last couple of days of the type of crap going on at that club which is all adding up to why certain players dont care and dont want to be there, why staff dont want to be there anymore and why Agar has a tougher job on his hands then he should have.
I am sure you will come back with some reason why it is Agars fault that Japan has suffered an earthquake and that Libiya is in the middle of Civil War but I wont try justifying any more to you as it is obvious you have all the answers, just like John Sharp
