I see the usual Rovers numpties are trying to defend this crap again. Why is the number of reasonable Rovers fans who can see this for what it is so small? I'm sure that prat Hudge is actually Derren Brown or something with the amount of crap he can get your average Rovers fan to swallow. There is no demand from most other clubs. Last few times I've been it has been shut. If and when the South Stand is replaced by something better I'd expect others to pay more. My point to the previous poster was clarifying that I meant better facilities would lead to a fairer deal for Hull FC fans, rather than cutting security costs.

If I had the money I'd buy each and every Rovers fan a dictionary so that they could look up the definition of 'bitter'. Taking offence at another's comments and responding accordingly is not bitterness.

1. Were Hull FC fans charged more for the derby at CP when the pitch invasion happened?
2. Were Hull KR fined after that match for not having adequate stewarding etc in place?

I guess if a fair approach was to be taken Rovers would build in the extra cost to the season pass prices at the start of the season.

Yeah, or just charge Hull £10 adults, £5 kids and have a complete sell-out. It's stupidity IMO. Oh, and I've also just criticised him for slagging RLFans folk off then trying to advertise to them, so we don't all claim him to be a saint.

The normal price is £18. If your fans want to fill it why would we give a discount? But to encourage say a hundred fans from another club (who maybe wouldn't go otherwise) to go in the south stand we offer them a discount and it doesn't make much difference to us financially, were as a full stand with a discount would.



Because the clubs run as a business and if there's not the demand, as above, we offer a discount to get them there, so we make what we can when we can. Why hull fans? It's because we know you don't have to travel far and you'll fill it, why not make as much as we can? We're not making money so we have to maximise income.
Why would rovers fans get a discount when we're losing money? Outraged for paying the same as any others your right there i'm furious! I'm not feeding you crap about how much more loyal and better I am, I've stood in the freezing rain at wakey, bradford, leeds etc. but I'm just not that bothered as long as i'm there supporting my team like all those loyal hull fans at craven park paying £18 the same as everybody on the day (barring season ticket holders). At the end of the day if you don't like it don't come.

We do support in any kind of weather.....however a lot us us also have pride and draw the line at a pathetic bitter little man exploiting us, and for the record I have spoke to several of our players who fully understand and support our decisions to stay away from your ground and not be fleeced!

Correct. I'm a home and away fan, I've been to Bridgend, Wrexham, Beziers, Perpignan, Narbonne, The Stoop, Griffin Park etc, but would never go to Craven Park. Reasons include:
Previous experiences involving spitting and abuse, certainly at aggression levels above what you'd class as "banter" (this is not to say that Rovers fans aren't subjected to the same at our place, just that it's my choice not to expose my kids to it)
Hudgell's intentionally inflammatory statements, too many to mention but including accusing Hull FC of selling its fans short by announcing the signing of Fitz and Long "early" in his derby programme notes. I can't imagine Kath making statements of this nature in her column in our programme, not have I ever read anything similar in any others.

The erection of a new stand may attract more away fans, but personally it makes no odds to me - not giving Hudgell any of my hard-earned thanks. The only time I can envisage going is if there's a derby testimonial for a homegrown Rovers player with 10 years service. So, unless Netherton gets one, probably hell freezing over will happen first.

I have been to 'every' derby match since 1978 right up until the pitch invasion game; I personally have been attacked at the old and the new Craven park, also attacked at the back of the best stand in the Boulevard, me and the wife had bricks thrown at us in our own ground. But when you have to run out of a rugby ground (and I use the term loosely) with your daughter to save yourselves getting a beating, and once in the car having to hide all colours due to halfwits walking down Preston Rd knocking mirrors off cars in a line of traffic, then time's up I'm afraid.
All this is aside from an overpriced crap view.

To me it seems the Hull supporters are poor and fickle. I have been to the bully-yard to watch Rovers in the past and if the isn t the biggest chit hole ever then nothing is. And I paid what ever the price was cos I am a true supporter..

Can't be arrissed to read the full thread...however my understanding is that to offer a certain percentage of games at discount, you also have to offer a certain percentage at full price.
