I make it that last night was Agar's 99th in charge.

Current record is won 44, drawn 1, lost 54 - 45% win record.

Shocking really when you consider the playing roster he's had available to him.

He said he'd walk away if he felt he wasn't taking us forward. I think someone needs to challenge him to honour his word,there is no way he can argue that he's improving us. I'd sit him down,explain his shortcomings,show him the direct quotes he made at the time and ask him to do the honourable thing and watch him squirm.

Im past despair at the whole situation. Let's say he's on 80k a year and his contract expires November 2012. That's over £100k that he is contractually entitled to. It's the club's fault that we have this financial liability, not Agar's, due to the decision on April 1 2010 to extend his deal. Agar won't be top of anyone's list in SL for coach so he'd be mad to walk. He can and will cite mitigating factors like not having the full cap, board interference in recruitment, injury crises in 2008 and 2009, not having his first choice halves available in all his time at the club, refereeing decisions against Castleford, five day turnarounds, having to travel to Edinburgh for the Magic weekend, other teams being in good form, players not being smart enough, creating enough opportunities to win 5 games but failing to convert them and losing at home to Wakefield, hot weather, cold weather, wet weather...I could go on. He's never at fault, he took us to Wembley and there's £100k on the table for just turning up for the next year and a bit with no realistic alternative employment for him at this level. Don't blame him for taking the money - we should never have put it on offer.

If Richard Agar has not been removed at the end of the season or during the close season, I am sure that next seasons pass sales will be well down and so will the sale of shirts etc. and that may be a tidy sum of money to loose.

If what I has read and seen about Mr Pearson I am sure that will not want his new venture to loose money. Richard Agar may have charmed Mr Pearson into keeping him, but Adam Pearson would have to be prepared to take a 'hit in his pocket' if that was to be the case.
