| Someone posted Radfords record for the last 10 games of the season each season
Is it on this thread ?
He’s garbage and out of his depth
I’ve posted so many times in the last 2 years that the Players won the CC despite LR not because of him
Fonua Ellis Watts
As soon as they left - think about it
He said he would walk but he won’t
Agar was better - true !
Gentle was even betterer
AP has lost his mind

Two errors
He dropped the ball early in the game from a kick and they scored from it

| As a coach you can't be too matey with your players.
In my opinion some players have been given a shop window to find other clubs, whilst others have been given a contract too far.
Yes he's made big changes for next year, but he didn't have much choice did he?
Raiders has tried to look after his players and treat them right, but to the detriment of the club and the supporters.
Too many record defeats this year to go unnoticed.
Thanks Lee, but here's the phone number you need to call....353535

I doubt that very much. His oldest lad has just signed his first professional contract with Hull FC and his youngest lad has just begun year 10 and the start of GCSE's plus he has signed a Scholarship with Hull FC.

So that means he is “Teflon” then ?
Pearson needs to grow a pair and sack him !
His league record is terrible.
He has taken this Club as far as he can . And judging by last night, he has lost the dressing room !

| Will have to sit through a record home defeat next week. Saints win by 60+
Only reason I am going is to applaud Mini and Manu.
The 17 players putting that shirt on are mostly seasoned pros. They should need little coaching or motivation.
I would rather see us field our reserve team and let them have a dig than watch the current dross.

It seems to me, when they play "what is in fro t of them" they do OK, it's the set/structured plays that look stifled.

| In Radfords defence, he does not make the individual errors on the pitch. There are too many players only putting their hands up when thing go well and a few who need to look at themselves in the mirror and ask if they are really putting in a shift. This is a thread about the coach so I’ll not single out players, but there are 6 or 7 who fall into this bracket.
In the case against Radford, we used to be renowned for stern and brutal defending yet it seems paper thin with our own 20.
Our attacking creativity is just about non existent, especially close to the opposition line. This is not a new thing. Different players over the last 6 seasons, same coach.
Our attacking structure is poor. Our offensive line is the flattest of all SL clubs making it way too easy for the opposition to get in our faces and stifle us. Different players over the last 6 seasons, same coach.
Our line speed is very poor!
This season we have scored some great tries, but the reality is, they come from broken play or a miracle piece of skill, not through structure.
We lack leadership on the pitch. After Cas second try, only ten minutes into the game it was heads down from the captain and the senior players. That attitude needs to change, that comes from the coach.
Cas showed last night how all of the above should be executed and it resulted in a comfortable win for them.
2016/17 were good due to the cup wins and pushing Leeds close for a GF spot
2018 , granted, injuries did for us.
2019, there are no excuses anymore.
Thanks Lee, you will be fondly remembered for the cup wins, but to paraphrase many of your post match interviews “you put in loads of effort but can’t quite figure out how to put all the pieces of the jigsaw together”.
Mr Pearson, it’s time to make a big call.

Bravo..
My only fear is.. IF Pearson removed Radford from his post, he'd probably promote from
within.. eg Horne...
For mine, Radford,Last & Horne need to go to pastures new, and AP needs a reset in his attitude, ie "As long as I'm here, he has the job", this has probably filtered throughout the club, meaning the players dont need to work that hard, as their Manager is under no pressure to succeed..
It will be interesting to see if/when Radford's extension will be revealed....

It's also my understanding that he's on a rolling comtract, so we wouldn't need to pay compensation to get rid. It would be great to have a coach who wasn't a forward in their playing days!

It was an interview in the HDM,with Radford, but a day later was deleted from the HDM's website.

| There aren't enough external influences in the coaching team. radford is the one who has been here the shortest time and he's been with us since 2006. horne, last and yeaman even longer. Since then they've worked under sharp (Who they all rave about so I guess that there is still a lot of his thoughts and methods in what we do), agar and gentle so hardly much in the way of forward thinking. We definitely need fresh ideas and a new approach.
It's all too cosy for me and I suspect a small core of players probably wield a lot of influence with the coach

| I have a mate who travels 70 miles to watch Hull at home ( a pass holder for the last 9 year's.)
He's not renewing his pass for next season.

With all due respect, it shouldn't matter whether you travel 70 miles, or 70 yards to the game. What we have had to endure this season is not what we sign up for. That's their choice and that should be respected.
I travel a round trip of about 110 miles for home games. I'll buy a pass next year. I have seen us in a much worse state than this in the past. The frustrating thing is that we have the playing personnel to be much better.

| I just googled "Adam Pearson Hull" to see if there was any reaction from him in the media to last night.
The top news story has the headline "Hull FC owner Adam Pearson launches stinging attack on players letting club down and says they'll be released"
It was only when I clicked on it and started reading I realised it was from September 2018 after the Warrington defeat.
It's like groundhog Day

| Radders has done well but he's simply at the end of his shelf life with Hull. With there being no London next season, relegation is a genuine threat with the form we show at the back end of the season. I had no excuse not to go to the game last night. I had the time and the money but I simply couldn't face what I expected would happen. Not losing so much, but embarrassing ourselves. I worry about the impact the end of this season is going to have on our attendances, and how in turn that will impact an already very stale home atmosphere. I like Radford, but we need some kind of catalyst to change.

| Well he certainly won't be going anywhere this week, it will depend on what we do next week. Saints may field their reserves again and we may end up scraping in to 5th. Which Pearson would probably hail as a major success. Personally I hope Saints deal us another record defeat and hammer the last nail in his coffin. But realistically I know he is still going to be here next year regardless.
I don't get to many games these days anyway. I work and spend most of my time in Scotland. I will go when I am in Hull for the week, or if it's a big game I will make the effort. But until something changes, that's me done. I don't mind us being rubbish, I've seen far worse teams and have stuck by them. But what I can't abide is all this talent going to waste. We have the squad to be real challengers. This year a GF spot was just begging to be claimed, but instead we just embarrass ourselves week after week. Next year we have recruited great but it will just be the same again. I just hope that alot of others are feeling the same as me and decide to keep their cash in their pockets. Maybe then Pearson might wake up and see what is obvious.

That is the problem and the rightly should cop the criticism for their failure to perform when needed, however the Coach also shoulders that responsibility as he is the one that is there to ensure they go out on the field ready to perform and if they do not then it his job to make the changes and correct what is going wrong.
This is what is not happening and it seems to be coming pretty apparent that it is more player lead in the way we actually play and perform than the coaching team.
A lot gets said about the 2 cup wins and that's what LR brought us but yet the poor performances its the players? That just doesn't wash anymore as the same traits in the way we play are there in 6 years LR has been in charge and the players have been changed the only constant within is the coaching staff.
Looking back was it LR that was so instrumental in the cup wins or was it more to do with the players lets not forget the infamous dressing room lockout in 2016.

Sums it up for me, travelling hundreds of miles to see 5 drives and a kick, as has been said, doesn't matter if it's 100 miles or 100 metres, FC are not entertaining, Ellis said "the effort was there", Sorry Gareth, it wasn't, Sika wandering back after tackles and other players stood with hands on hips.
McRae said there was a cancer at the club, looking at recent weeks it is no longer in remission. We watched the 2017 CC final the other day, where has that passion gone?
