Naiqama? I think we need a forward to replace Frank. Outside the 17 we have little experience. We have a bunch of talented youngers but I have doubts that there are ready to play a lot of games. Due to good management and maybe a bit of luck we didn't have many injuries. Some forwards did look a bit fatigued towards the end of the season and that due to the Wembley factor could have been a factor in why we couldn't make the final. If Michaels is not retained I would look at the NRL to bring one in. With Motu's contacts I'm sure we could sign a quality prop/backrow.

Although the quota system is beyond me, I do reckon that at no time can you exceed it.
So, as it stands at the moment, Pritchard is still on contract.
Michaels is currently without a contract, so not taking a quota space, giving us the sensible option of signing Kelly early.
When Pritchard leaves, Michaels or someone else can then take up the free slot.
Hence the delay in any announcements regarding Michaels.

Salary cap "year" starts on 1st November, so I would image player contracts would also.

I remember Hudge saying on rovers relegation the "funding from SL will end 1st Nov and players contracts last as long as that so we have a couple of months to see where we are", so think your right there.

Still think Kelly could be a cracking signing if handled right fingers crossed this now comes off sad to see frank go but he will be a member of a legends team forever, to move the team forward we badly need another quality half to help Mark out and give us that unpredictability aspect, not sure about another back think we are well covered if Michaels is staying I would be more happy with a hooker encase Danny gets a knock Jez not ready for first team yet

I'm guessing Michaels was the outside back Pearson mentioned a while ago . Think the hold up as been waiting for frank to go .

Pearson said another outside back as well as Michaels. Kelly's signing may have altered that.

There must be a significant amount left on the cap for more signings.
