Maybe the club is keeping things quiet this year.
They only anounced Paea because Hudgell spilled the beans; but for that he may not have been announced yet.
Now that passes are on sale hopefully some signings will be announced this month. |

Pearson said last year that he didn't want to announce signings in future until the season was over. hudge the grudge was right when he said that clubs generally announce signings mid season to cheer up fans because their current team is shat. Good to see he's been true to that this year |

Tbf, when he said that (four years ago) Fitzgibbon had been announced in mid-May. Though i might have got the wrong player and year, i vaguely recall that i did on a previous cycle of this futile argument.
Also, while I admit it was provocative and slightly unbecoming, and slagging Hetherington and Rule off is your prerogative, not his - a fair few of you do clearly hold them in very low regard now. |

Or possibly I won't, just to demonstrate how commonplace it is.  |

Weyman could be selling the fans short in another way, though. Selected in the Sydney Telegraph Sally M squad as one of the flops of the year. Sandercock's got overseas recruitment form with the much-heralded Paterson, and reportedly trying to bin off Tuimavarve after a season, of course. |

Keating gets a mention too, but misses out to Benji Marshall.
Sandercock's recruitment from the NRL has been mixed, I agree. Paea wasn't one of his. Mika has got ability but a rick in him too. McDonnell is a decent enough fullback, without being spectacular, but only hung around for a season. Paterson is off after just 1 year too - gifted but has anonymous spells, plus he's had a couple of spells out. Burns is a good player, but a hot head. ET is steady, and if we are trying to offload him (which'd be a bit odd IMO) it'd be another who'd just done one year.
Hopefully Costigan, Weyman and Keating work out better. But tbf, it is a market that no longer offers quite the same value it once did. |
