Why have Long/Fitz till the end of the season? We would be better promoting Webster till the end of the season and look for a quality replacement in the meantime.

There would be no point imo in replacing Agar with 2 untried coaches. We need to go for quality.

I'm going to go against alot of peoples opinion and say Brown will never win a trophy, that's why he's not at St George.

I've always said this but most coaches that leave clubs do so because they have failed or have started to fail in the eyes of their employers. There are the odd exceptions where coaches decide to move on for the challenge but it's unusual and we're unlikley to be able to "buy" in a currently succesful coach especially from OZ. Having said that a "failing" coach at one club can succeed elsewhere. Sometimes it's just a change that is needed. I certainly think that we need that change , I've felt for years that we need to clear the whole coaching set up out and start again. New faces , new ideas , new start. They've all been involved in our failings. You say Last maybe would be unfortunate to go because the 20's are doing well? Most other 20's teams though have lost their "stars" to the first teams , look at Leeds , Saints and Wigan at the moment. Our 20's rarely are able to make the transition and certainly not 4 or 5 at a time. It's only by changing things that we can find out whether that's because the players we have aren't good enough or whether we're doing something wrong with them. Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results is as Einstein said insanity. I don't think you need to be Einstein to know we desperately need a change now. Whatever we do is risky and won't please everyone but doing nothing is just not an option.

He is a world class player, however this does not guarantee a good coach, I would be horrified if we made him our coach, if that is where Fitz see's his future then great he should give if a try, but he will have to learn his trade first, the same applies to Long of course.

Personally, I feel we should go for Anderson or Folkes, someone who is proven and experienced.

Long will be back at Saints as soon as his contract is up.
Fitz will go straight back to Oz ,IMO.

Steve Price would be my choice.

Not much to know tbh, a very average playing career (to say the least) and he's worked his way through the coaching ranks at St George.

He was their u20's coach in 2009 and assistant to Bennett last year. If Bennett moves on he's expected to gave a chance at the ft position.

Who knows, just a waiting game now I guess...Personally I like Rich and I am upset it has not worked out for him, I would sooner he went now or the fans could really turn against him and it could get messy, hopefully the board picked up on the fans turning on Friday and will relieve him of his duties tomorrow to save him having to suffer any more humiliation.

I agree that Webster, Last, Icecreamman and the others need to go when Agar gets the boot, but I can't think of a shred of evidence to support the idea that a combination of Fitz and Long as joint player coaches is in any way preferable to getting Noble in. Anyone got any ideas?

A lot of people have mentioned Brown and McGuire and how they've transformed Hudds and Wigan respectively . Price could do the same here with Hull . As sheldon has said Joe average as a player but done a great job through the ranks at St George .

agar has to go simple as that, but as for coaches well noble would certainly improve us and install some good disclipline and id feel a whole lot more confident with him in charge but id like the board to be ambitious and go and get a aussie coach like taylor, anderson who aint in a job at the moment or a good young up and coming coach whos worked in a world class enviroment either way theres plenty of options out there. look at brown at hudds there team on paper isnt as good as ours but on the field there a whole lot better then us playing good attackive rugby and he gets the best out of players unlike our coach who he aint got the best out of anyone. as for long and fitz no simple

Might not have a choice this season though, we might have to wait until the end of the season to get the right man.
