What would a new coach have to achieve for the fans not to be asking for his head after 1 season?

I think it’s more than just win lose ratio it’s about how you lose and how you play. We have been hammered on several occasions and we lack attacking flair and only seem to show flashes of brilliance. The magic weekend spoke volumes to me if were we are

Radford is Teflon.
Would Saints , Wigan , Wire and Leeds put up with him ?
Our rivals have moved and appointed a good Coach in Tony Smith.
Radford has lost the polish to his 2 Challenge Cups now.

Yes he won 2 cups but realistically the gloss has now come off over the last 2 seasons.

Time for a fresh start and a new impetus.
It would probably rejuvenate the fan base too, a sense of excitement a venture into the unknown.
We currently know what we're going to get and that is predominantly boredom, turned off and general apathy.
I still go out of a sense of duty but not with any expectations or excitement any more.

I could cope finishing outside the playoffs if I could see there was an improvement in our style of play and it was evident new systems were bedding in.

It's not just the results it's the style of play, i'd be content with missing the playoffs one year if I could see we were improving.

The squad is also a lot better than what Radford inherited in 2014, the older players we do have are all moving on, leaving an average age of mid to late 20s which is when players should be at their peak. Shouldn't take a lot for a new coach to lift things.

We need to be better defensively, better in attack and much more consistent with our performances. If we do that and finish outside the 5 because other clubs have more money and resources than us the so be it

I know Jason Demetriou is well thought of in Australia and Watson has done a good job at Salford.

If the job was up for grabs, which it wouldn’t be, I think you’d be amazed who would apply. Despite what MRS BARISTA says we are perceived as a well run and funded club, unfortunately the present incumbent appears to be wasting it’s assets.

Where have I said we aren't well run? I've said other clubs have greater resources/assets, which I don't think anyone has countered.

There you go again, picking on a particular quote. I said “well run AND FUNDED”. We have great resources/assets. A bloody good team, that’s being misused.

We have a good fanbase, not the best in the comp, but up there. But there still seems a reluctance to accept that there's a reason why 4 other clubs file full accounts and we get an exemption. We like to see ourselves as challengers, and with what Lee, AP and co have achieved in recent years, against the odds really, that's understandable. But the grip on Super League by these 4 has remained for years and I would again fancy that this year's title race won't change that, as much as we all would like that to happen.

Surely we are one of the biggest clubs in Super League?. We’re not a minnow by any stretch.
We spend to full cap, have very good training facilities and a very good squad. We also have one of the biggest and most loyal fan bases.

Turnover is irrelevant as you well know.

The game isn't played by the accountants, it's played by the team, which we spend full cap on so i don't see us being disadvantaged because we might get an accounts exception.

Radford out is the subject and more and more posters on here seem to be getting the message.
We can see on the field the limitations of this coach and its obvious now to most that Radford should be replaced as the coaching is Stale.
To see the same limitations week after week without any sign of improvement for me indicates he should go

I don't think anyone would believe we are a minnow. Just that 4 other clubs are bigger from a financial perspective (hence filing full accounts rather than exemption ones) and they [ujust happen[/u to be the ones who've had a stranglehold on Super League Grand Finals for years. Expecting us to magically break into this group could be a little naive. Hoping for it is another matter - I'm sure we all do, and have done for a long time.

Eeerrrrrrmmmm sorry but Wire have only just joined the party. I think FC have a comparable history in Super League.
