What's the proposal the club's are voting on this week? I've seen different versions of it.

Got to say, I have been in favour of this format for years. Have a 14 team league = 26 games.

Have an equivalent of the old county cups (I appreciate there would be a need to incorporate French, Canadian and London teams ) as a competition before the league season started.

Decision day is 14th September - 55 votes to be cast, SL clubs each have 2 votes, so a minority of 24 in total.

Is this for 12 clubs, play each other 2.5 times, one up one down, 5 team play off?

You can change the structure however many times you want, but it’s not a miracle cure for an ailing game.

Lack of quality player pool, our salary being dwarfed by union and the NRL, poor quality games, diminishing sponsorship and attendances. All to remedied in yet another change of structure decided upon by self serving owners.

We can’t even negotiate a half decent tv deal, so I won’t hold my breath on them making a success of yet another restructure.

There's a lot of simple things that could be a lot better.

Just one example, I'd ban games from taking place at the same time as SKY fixtures. Meaning more RL fans at home watching SKY and therefore making the rights more attractive. At the moment we have a crazy situation where say Saints will be on TV while Leeds, Hull and Wigan are all at home instantly reducing the potential viewership by 30-40k then we wonder why SKY wont pay much.

Sounds like a Unilateral Declaration of Indipendence if the vote doesn’t go Super League’s way. Gary Hetherington will be on the phone for the next 36 hours trying to get the lower divisions to kybosh it. Wonder what Super League will do without Leeds.

It’s always amazed me that there can be a full round of fixtures on the same night as a Sky game - viewing figures and attendances are bound to be affected

Hetherington could well box himself into a corner and the other 11 chairman may well use a breakaway to bin him and invite another club, Toronto or Toulouse, if either don’t make the cut this year?

Who in their right mind would ever want Toronto in Superleague?

Love them or hate them, SL needs Leeds one of only a few clubs capable of an average crowd of above 10k and a newly rennovated ground.

I’m willing to give Toronto a chance but they are not the saviour of RL, we still need the well supported teams, SL has suffered without Bradford the last few years also.

Not a hope in hell that leeds will ever be excluded from a league unless they get relegated. hetherington knows this, and rightly or wrongly he feels like his club lead the game as a whole.

i have a feeling that there is going to be a lot of turmoil this off season. the question is will the likse of eddie hearn step into it, lets face it is probably now or never for him

I would have liked to have seen, that the club that get promoted are protected against being relegated for one year.

Torontonians, and me, our kid lives there

people who have friends in Canada so you can build the away game around a little holiday

There is still no real reward for finishing top of Super League apart from a semi final play off place.
Surely at least give a grand final place to the League winners.
