I had planned to get a season pass and come to more games next season, my logisitics have changed in the last 4 months, but keeping Dowes and Radford has changed my mind, I'll pay on the day (and still go to more games than last season)

And I heard it from someone who I know is very close to RH, and from RH himself when he first got injured last season.

So, no more personal attacks required, you don't know any more or less about FC than just about anyone on here, as has been proven time and again.

I think Horne will be playing this season but I do think it could be his last if he has another stop/start season. Unless he stays fit and reproduces his early season form of last year then I don't think the club will renew his deal. That said I am optimistic that Horne still has plenty of class as he showed last season, the key is him staying on the pitch now.

Richard really needs to get the "upper hand" on his diabetes, which I genuinely hope he has, he certainly has class, lets see how he goes if he plays an unbroken run of games.

Thought Calderwood would have found a new club by now. Unless he has and it's escaped me?

so if our recruitment is over for 2011,as james rule is quoted as saying in hdm,just wondering why we worked so hard at getting berrigan off quota?if we are near to full cap anyway and not making anymore signings,does this suggest that the club are looking to sign shaun for another year?would be reasonably happy if he did,whats everyone else think??

no club as yet,but i would envisage him getting a deal at somewhere like wales if they survive,or regroup??

I think he wants to stay in the UK, preferably as close to Hull as possible because he's bought a place, or that it is what I am told.

He's really settled apparently, and is definitely looking to extend his stay beyond his current deal.

Exactly the sort of thing i've heard. Really think he'll stay for another 2 years after this deal runs out.

I hope we offer him a 2 year contract, a little reduced, and to play at centre.

So, expect a 4 year mega bucks deal for him to play 2nd row!

He's played 13 at times, I'd say it's nailed on!

If he starts to perform week in week out then no drama from me. But, I am sure he must be one of our highest paid players, if not the highest, so he needs to step up this year.

Bearing in mind he was injured, it's a bit unfair. It's his state of mind I question, not his ability.

Berrigan doesn't seem to worry about where he plays.

Or who for just so long as he's getting paid and he's happy. Which is fair enough of course , why would he want to go back to Oz to try and win a contract and then play in that tough environment when he can see out his time here. Maybe I'm being harsh but I'd have liked to have seen more committment and leadership from him and for me he'd have to have a massive season at centre before we even think about extending.

I personally don't agree with people questioning Berrigan's commitment in his time at Hull. The fact that he's continually played on through injuries with injections, in whatever position asked of him, shows ample commitment to me.

The point about leadership is a debatable one. I can see why people expect a player in such a pivotal role to be a leader, but the fact is that Berrigan has never been, nor even claimed to be, such a player. To expect him to suddenly offer a quality he does not possess is not particularly fair. IMO he has been penalised by many fans throughout his time here simply for not being Richard Swain.

I'm not so sure it's the diabetes that's the problem, maybe the serious neck injury is still on his mind? He just seems to be constantly picking up injuries. I have no doubt that if he gets a run of games we won't be disappointed in what he produces.
