as think that we'd be better off with that than moving Connor to 7 and putting Shaul back in at FB. As much as it was his first game back I expected to see a better individual performance from Shaul instead of what was by & large very disappointing and the wild pass he put in to touch just summed it up.'"
Think we should move Connor into the halves particularly if Gale gets more then 1 game.
Mitch was one of our better performers so would be easy to move Mcintosh to full back.
Playing McNamara gives us nothing at half back

Wishful thinking fella. He just made a hash of trying to clear a kick he was favourite to get to first. Not a cat in hell's chance he'll cop a ban (unless you're referring to a different incident I'm thinking of).

| Tough game, good side on a paper and confidence will be high after two wins (although against poor sides). Sneyd looks to have his Mojo back, kicking game looks good and even scored a try by running. Big game for Swift against Sio, really struggled against him last season away and he is in great form.
Connor back is massive, easily our most important player, Carlos too makes a huge difference. Get our discipline right and think we will win this one.

The problem is we haven't got our discipline right and have shown no signs of improvement. Hodgson needs to get on top of this as his number 1 priority, we aren't good enough as a team to keep giving the opposition a leg up. Otherwise it will be his downfall.

| We'll have to be good defensively. Salford have plenty of strike all across the pitch. Sio, Sarginson, Burgess and Brierley. throw in Croft and Sneyd who have started well by all accounts, albeit against poorer opposition.
Rowleys teams like to throw the ball around.
They aren't the biggest of packs, but at thr moment neither are we. Expecting Gale to be missing for the next few games, hopefully Connor being back will soften thr blow a little

Just having a player not sent off would be a great start.

| Really not sure what to expect for this game to be honest, with the players we have still missing and the inevitable bans. As has been said the discipline needs sorting out and although I don't think on the whole we have been as bad as the penalty count given against us but we need to be smarter and not give the officials any opportunity to penalise us.
We also need to be much smarter all round to be honest as we played some of the dumbest rugby against St's and hopefully Connor being back will help with that.
Going to be interesting to see what players are available for this weekend.

Rather keep Connor at FB, but might have to move him to 6 Mcintosh at FB and Mitch on the wing.
I honestly think it's a must win, if we want to get in the play offs, lose this, confidence will be low going into two tough away games.
Need fans bsck by playing and winning at home too'"
So, as expected we are 1 from 2 and three games in you are calling this game as a "must win" . I am not sure what is funnier, your love of a cliche or the fact that you consider this as a must win. You are funny

Correct on our pack size and if you remember the match against you guys at the AJ Bell last season we foolishly tried to take you on down the middle for most of the first half. As soon as we twigged we weren't going to get any joy and started moving the ball wide we ran your big outside backs ragged.
I'd expect us to play an expansive game again next week. I've been tipping Hull for top 3/4 for the last few seasons but something always seems missing and you fell away really badly last year. Normally I'm fairly pessimistic when we travel to your place but I think we have a chance of nicking this one. Sneyd has been excellent so far and Croft is a cracking player. I think we're going to surprise a fair few teams this year as let's be honest the vast majority of fans have us down as finishing bottom 2/3. I think we're more than capable of making the lower reaches of the top 8.
Out of interest, any idea why this is a 3pm Saturday kick off? Can't see the logic in it when Hull City, Man Utd & Salford City are all playing Saturday afternoon. I know a few of us Salford fans have divided loyalties and I'm sure you'll have the same with FC/City.

Fans were supposedly consulted as to what they thought would be the best kick off times (either Friday Nights or Saturday/Sunday afternoons), and the fans chose the latter. Yet to speak or know anybody who was involved in these apparent talks. Do however know people who've had passes for years who didn't bother getting one this season because of clashing with the football.

Must admit I'm mystified by our home fixtures this year as they are just all over the shop rather than being a more regular day/time.
I can't honestly see what benefit arranging our home fixtures the way they have brings unless the club are going to see which ones where the best attended at the end of the season and then use that for next season?
There just seems to be no logic with them.

| Glad it's not just me who thinks the ko time is daft!
I know we don't particularly travel in numbers to Hull in general but I think maybe as many as a third of those who would've travelled for a Sunday 3pm ko might skip it due to the footy clashes. I'm still deliberating between Hull/Swindon for the footy and gutted I'll have to miss out on one or t'other.
PS. Not sure if we've got a ref assigned yet for the match but I hope to god it's not Griffiths. He was utter dog poop yesterday!!!

| The guy who sent Connor off for a shoulder tackle that slipped up.
Sironen full on arm to sataes face, just a penalty.
We've suffered from Griffiths, kendall and vid clown Liam Moore so far.
Where do they find them

In regards to the officials I'm not sure who is currently the better of a very poor set of officials and probably the poorest I can ever remember the game having. The game has moved on but the officials are generally for me poor and as full time professionals they seem more incompetent than when we had part time officials and certainly very little accountability.

Personally I don't mind Friday nights but then again I'm single so only have to account for myself and not wife/kids etc. I've also got a 9-5 job and WFH so getting an early dart isn't an issue. Having been to a few of those Friday matches I know you're only looking at maybe 250-300 Salford fans making the trip. Might push those numbers up to 500 or so on a Sunday afternoon but I guess it's more about how many home fans you'll get through the turnstiles when you're talking about such low numbers of away fans.

Yeah I'm not sure it says much about the standard when Thaler is the best of a bad bunch! I know we can't offer the same sort of £££ as Union officials get but the level of officiating in RU is streets ahead.
