Bring Super League down to 10 competitive teams, create a more thriving championship underneath with potential for growth, this will also free up the calendar to introduce Yorkshire v Lancashire or similar origin games as a trial series for England v Exiles preparing us more for international tournaments.

I understand the idea but I can't see clubs being happy to lose four home fixtures.

International RL is pretty much dead. Great Britain/England have not won a tournament since 1972. We've not beaten Australia in an Ashes series since 1970 and we've stopped even trying for that.

Don't agree - Briscoe had done enough for England to merit his place - Charnley has been good for Wigan and is a good winger but Briscoe shouldn't be dropped on the basis of Charnley's club form. Briscoe should have retained his place and if he had played like Charnley did tonight then Charnley should have got the nod for the next game. Briscoe's decent England form was ignored in selection for tonight's game and that is wrong IMO.

Shouldn't we be picking players who are on form now rather than the last time they played Internationally ?.

As long as the last international performance wasn't a disaster and the club form isn't poor then I think there has to be a level of continuity and loyalty in the international team selection. Charnley should have had to wait his turn like Briscoe did. If Briscoe had played like Charnley did tonight I would have expected him to have been replaced for the next game by Charnley - I just hope it works the other way now.

I can see why Charnley has been giving the nod as he is SL inform winger and Hulls club form isn't great atm, But that said , Neither is L**ds.

No arguments from me over Charnleys selection ahead of Briscoe, but he didn't show his club form -then again, can't think of [ianyone[/i who had a really good game. Suspect Briscoe would have looked average too had he played tonight.

What exactly did Charnley do wrong other than the one knock on? Since Monaghan also struggled in a similar situation, a player who is considered strong in the air, it was hardly the worst mistake to make.

I said before the game I was adamant Briscoe should not have been dropped, Charnley does not have the quality that he does. He did nothing. Neither did the vastly over rated Atkins and Ablett. Shows how good you can be in 'form' when you are an edge player who play in good teams who allow you to basically walk tries in.

Good god, what a boring game that was. I agree about the point regarding the Thursday night matches, at least there was more passion in them, this game was played between two understrength teams (england without the ones down under and exiles without several withdrawals). As for the chase/sinfield partnership, it clearly wont work. Chase shouldnt be playing for us end of and sinfield clearly isnt good enough. But then I remember who the coach is and thankfully sigh a relief that we didnt get him.

Apart from being a dirty little he has yet to prove it for me in a decent team, he was very average last night, I personally think he is up his own @rse and incapable of playing in a structured team, his team mates don't even know what he is going to do next, all fancy dummies, vastly overrated, not as good as Brough for me. The England side needs a strong French team imo. The Exiles concept will be gone in a couple of seasons because of lack of overseas talent.

Terrible game but think we have to stick with the concept as its thes best opposition England will get mid season. There was a real lack of intensity for most of the match and the atmosphere was poor.

Shocking that once again England players were getting booed.
