And I will say it again On paper our squad is great, our forwards are a match for any-ones. Longy is possibly the best modern day h/back this country has produced, Horney also has being an International .....Houghton a young hooker who could be knocking on the door of the GB squad, Briscoe International winger...Do you get my drift On paper it is a great squad

It's opinions about squads. On paper, our starting 17 is great. Looking forward to see who else we will bring in to strengthen the squad.

Well said, Barton Baird. I have the same outlook this year because when you put things into persepctive things don't seem to bad.

My Stepson, A Royal marine goes to Afgan next month. Me and the missus will be twitchy whilst he's out there. The rugby just really doesn't seem that important when I stop to think about it.

and dont forget the cracking young guns in the wings we are nurturing either!! all looks a rosy few years to come for me, RA is currently reducing the average age of the squad with good young signings and on we go once more into the breach

Do i?.....Shall i put it in a nutshell for you.I seem to remember that in 1999 we very nearly never had a club to support,since then the club have come on leaps and bounds,winning a challenge cup and getting to a final,plus getting to a superleague final.We are now financally very stable,which is very important in this day and age.The club has had it's highs and lows in the last 10 years but i bet you can't name me any team in the world that has not had its ups and downs for what ever reason.Just because we are a big club does not give us the right to win anything.You need platform for that and a lot of sweat and hard work.We are making enough progress on an off the field to relise we are getting to where we want to be.Tell you what i will see if i can magic a superleague final win for you just to stop moaning for a bit.

So you couldn't make up sending your young lads out to australia to gain experience of how its done out there.

Why would they need to go to Aus, they just need to turn up for a Hull KR training session

History?.Read the post again,it was more to do with how we have progressed since then,which is a hell of a long way.

Not trying to trivialise being a supporter ,hell I hate off season,but just pointing out there are more important things in life.

I support my team through thick and thin, not fecking moan about the slightest thing too pull the club down.

I would call it a stutter but not in freefall as some seem to think on here.

Bit more than a stutter, but the club itself is healthy as a whole. The playing/coaching aspect is poor IMO but we all have differing views on that. Training facilities would be a good thing to sort out, however the clubs first priority was to get our club to be at least self sufficient and making a profit has been a massive bonus.

Now we have the debt sorted, we can now look long term at sorting out some dedicated training facilities, which in all fairness we have done and these were scuppered at the last minute for various reasons. You cannot just conjure up stuff like this it takes time, planning permissions etc need sorting out. Just look at how long it has taken other teams to find places for stadiums etc and the long drawn out process they have gone through. Training facilities are pretty much the same and require you to find an appropriate site as, then see if planning permission etc would be granted.

The club have come a long way since the Lloyd era and continues to improve...... now lets get the team sorted
