Can't believe I was actually gutted to see him leaving at first. Ever since news came about he was linked with a move away, he's been dog sh.t. His defence is absolutely awful and I don't think Saints know what there getting them selves into.
Has good hands and is strong but not much else really, Once Crooks fills out and gains experience he will become a much much better player and now young Lineham making the break through albeit a different player. We haven't lost anything in terms of quality, we'll be alot stronger in the long run. The likes of Crooks, Arundel, Lineham, Bowden. Along with Briscoe Westerman, Watts, Houghton. Just shows how much young British talent we really have at the club next season. Along with other to come in aswell I'm sure.

I'm starting to feel the same way. I've rated him as a centre, but he has really dropped off since he's signed for Saints. His attack is good but his defence is not improving whatsoever. I'd play Crooks over him when/if he's fit.

Yeah, me too. Give Crooks as much experience as possible and he'll be better for it going into next season. The only thing Turner has got going for him is he has a good try/game ratio. But then compare it to how many he has cost us, then it will certainly put a downer on his attack.

He's utter gash . It's only injuries that's keeping him in the side . I'd rather play Whiting in that centre position than put up with him anymore.

He was extra specially sh*t today, even by his own 'standards'. I think we possibly got lucky that Mika clocked him one on Monday, he might well have given them enough points to nick it. If he carries on like this at Saints I think they've got a massive shock in store.

I called for Crooks to be given the 4 jersey as soon as Turners announcement to Saints was made official. Saint will be wishing they'd never let Shenton leave. Atleast Rommel will be pleased.

He was awful but I would add that we were woefully short onm the right hand side for most of the game.

I agree. If you have a weakness in your game, you address it and try and improve it. Turner just isn't doing that. He's making the exact same mistakes week in, week out. And as people have said, coupled with his clear lack of interest and horrible attitude, it's terrible.

St's have got a real star for next season, oh, and Turner.

He showed in that spell early in the season that he has some ability. Now either that was just a brief break from his usual standard or his attitude has changed and I guess we will find out next year. Personally I think it's the former and Saints have got a lot of work to do to get him upto scratch.

A lot of people on here started knocking him as soon as it became likely he was going to Saints, calling for him to be dropped for the rest of the season. That's why next season the club shouldn't announce any departures until September. It's not in the best interests of the club or player to do so.
That said, it has become apparent to everyone that he has lost interest in playing for Hull.

As long as PG is picking what he believes to be his best team, then I'm happy for Turner to continue playing for us.

A lot of people also thought he was gash before he signed for saints. He's not a player I believe will be missed here and I cannot believe we even offered him an extension.

Think this maybe one of the things Gentle alludes too when he says some players are uncoachable. Turner by now should realise that jumping out the line leaves an enormous gap but each week he does it and i'm pretty sure he is probably told about it by Gentle & the coaching staff.

He did show at the start of the season he can play but even then his defence was an issue. Think Brown has got alot or work to do with Turner to get him to be consistent. Maybe the fact he will be closer to home may help but can't say I am sorry to see him go.

Think back and it's not that many years ago that when it came to GB/England centres, Keith Senior would invariably be partnered by a quick 2nd row forward or a big winger. Shows something must be working

Exactly, I think some peoples judgement got clouded with his performance at St's and against Rovers, other than those 2 games he has been pretty much as inconsistant as ever and woeful in defence.

Agree, apart from the 1st half of this season when it was looking like Gentle might be able to make a decent player out of him, but since the rumours started on his move to Saints has reverted to type, won't be missed.

It won't bother me if he never played for us again.

Wouldn't even go so far as to say half a season, TBH. He looked as pants as ever in preseason, it was just a spell of 3-4 games where he looked very good in a couple and OK in the others.
