Also, McRae openly said he was willing to keep Treister on, but he wasn't interested in playing back up to Swain because he wouldn't play enough in his favoured position. Didn't he go back to the family farm or something instead?

I like Tom Briscoe But he has a long way to go before he tries his hand in Australia
He has to get the rough edges off his game Just look at the wingers Hull have had
C Sullivan, Rosenberg, H Firth,plus D O'Hara that just a few. One day under a good coach
the lad will improve I hope that will be this season The lad has shown he has the potential
to go far he has age on his side.Before anybody start it only an opinion

Brough was effectively sacked. He had off field issues that Sharpe didn't want in the club. Same with Thackray.
Jodie Broughton was a loan player. He wasn't ours to keep or lose. And at the time he was here we had 3 international wingers.
Carvell I'll give you as a player we've lost. But is he really any better than when he was with us? He didn't have "potential", he was the finished article and we got a good deal for him.
All in all, your point isn't a very good one. Our problem is definitely not that we lose players with potential (Luke Briscoe slipped the net, everyone else has stayed longer than their worth most of the time... Well except for Cookey!).'"

The Hull winger's form for England in the Four Nations has put top NRL sides on alert.
Briscoe, 21, said: "I'd like to have a go at proving myself out there.
"Sam Burgess and Gareth Ellis have done it and shown what English players can do.
"And I'd like a go if the opportunity came around but I'm not pinning my hopes on anything.

Its only my opinion But He is not ready to play down under
a season or 2 under P Gentle would do him the world of good
He need to work on the high ball kick and his deference ..
Against the Aussies he got caught out a few times .I have said only
my opinion but I still would have him in any team of mine

He's without a doubt ready but hopefully he'll see out his contract with Hull for the next couple of seasons then go test himself in the best comp in the world. He'd certainly get my blessing, what young player wouldn't want to be tested against the best.

its only a Sun article Tom's comments could have been taken out of context, but then again which english born super league player would not want to try himself the best competition in the world.
He may well sign up again with FC who knows what will be will be, players come and go this club will be here long after that. No point standing in his way hopefully he will see out the remaining 2yrs of his contract with Hull FC.

its not the case of standing for second best, there is nothing much can be done if he has his heart set on goin to the NRL the wages are the better, the standard of rugby league is better, the conditions are better, its just a better place to live and play rugby league. I am sure FC will do all they can to tie Tom down to a longer contract.
