All I have seen all over Twitter and Instagram is players saying how gutted Radford is leaving but what strikes me is they are all saying “Thanks mate, sorry mate, been my mate for years, yes mate, no mate” etc. shows the issue straight away IMO!

Yep theres a right little Radders cuddle crew going on on instagram - Shaul, Taylor, Houghton, Griffin - all saying bye to their 'mate' and three of those have been dog54it for quite a while - says it all really

Thought it was too comfy and too pally for a few of the local senior players for a while and think it has shown in the performances. From the off Radford when he took on the job had to seperate hinself from the player to Coach. The responses from players saying mate does say an awful lot unfortunately and whether intentional or not the lines got blurred and it does not look like a unified team themat are prepared to dig in for each other.

There seems to no real accountability for the players under Radfords tenure and certain players have managed to stay in the 17 despite their form not being as good as it should be.

Gotta agree about dropping Houghton. He's been our second best hooker this year. Rads was just so incessant about keeping him on the pitch for the full 80. Johnstone didn't even get a look in on Thursday until we brought a prop (Satae) off.

It seems to me that the outpouring of grief stems from the fact that Radford is such a popular figure within the game, which makes sense as he seems like a good guy.
Think things had got too cosy with certain players though, and I wonder in the influx of new players has caused this I.e. they’ve not liked what they’ve seen and it’s got back to AP?

I am sure Radders is a nice guy to have a drink with, and to be on your side in a punch up, but the fact is we have been pants at home now for too long.As many have said,players were in their comfort zone knowing they would be picked to play. New broom will hopefully prove different.

Reading C(r)ooke's article nearly made me sick, everything that was wrong in a single article.

I thought people are allowed an opinion on this forum as well as other places or is that just for jokers having a go at Radders.. The man has left the club a close friend is putting an opposing point of view, that makes you feel sick, you and all the main protaganists who have given your opinions have not made anybody feel sick. I just found it incredibly biased and without balance, written by a mate, about a mate, I can fully accept if people disagree with me, that is whatbthe forum is all about, isn't it?

And you do realise, that what Cooke wrote, is probably how the vast majority of FC fans feel about Radford's tenure at the club.
He brought success to the club, and he gave everything he could.
The fact he, in the end, wasn't up to taking it on further, doesn't alter that, or the way his friends and ex colleagues view him.

Those, who wanted him gone, have got their wish. Perhaps they should now move on.

I am very grateful for all Lee achieved for our club, the b2b Wembley wins will never be forgotten, I didn't want him gone as an individual, I did want rid of the matey culture he had encouraged and endorsed. We all move on, as I am sure Lee will move on and can always be proud and hold his head up high when walking down the street, he will always have my respect for what he has achieved.

Then, have the good grace to accept that, some, will write good things about him, because that's how they viewed him.
