| or do Warrington play to a different salary cap to the rest of us, how can they do it.
"Warrington have announced that reigning Man of Steel Brett Hodgson will join them from Huddersfield next season."

| I do wonder. I also wonder about their quota too, but if they're happy with it all, let them get on with things.

| Think they are employing the players partners and paying them a high wage or cash payments? something along those lines? The type of players they have must all be on £2000 a week.

| The way they get around the salary cap as I understand it is as follows. A player signs a three year deal. The club back load the contract so he gets paid the majority of that wage in a particular year. So he may get peanuts in the first two years and then a lot in the third year once one of their other high earning superstars leaves. When that player is up for his renewal of contract, they can then set up a similar deal to load the contact in the year which best suites the club. By constantly loading contracts in this way it allows the club to squeeze more players into the cap in any given year but it’s a constant balancing act. I’m sure someone could explain this better than I, but you get the gist. They are constantly getting more out of the cap than if you just balance the payments out equally over the years of the contract. I don’t think Hull FC operate in this way, even though there is no rule against it. It means you can assemble a formidable squad for a specific season.

Hudds offered him a one year contract, he wanted a two year contract, so they allowed him to talk to other clubs. Hudds wouldn't match what wire offered so he has signed for them, nothing underhand.

| Just had a look and Solomona and one of the Andersons are OOC too so that should answer a few more questions, unless they retain them

Either way is decent. The rumour is on the Leeds board from people that know him that he's going to Hudds.

Long term it has no advantage because it will eventually catch it's self up. It's a quick fix system nothing more. What you gain one year you lose the exact same amount the next (based on 2 year deal)

| IMO mathers will stay at wire, he's contracted and smith has said hodgson won't play every game. Hodgson 1 or 6 depending on His and briers availability.
One of Anderson or solo to leave.

I thought that loophole had been closed now TBH. I vaguely remember talk about it when Fielden went to Wigan, that's why they had to offload players and pension off SeuSeu, otherwise he'd just have had a peanuts deal for the season he signed and bloated the years after.

| Answer is what most American sports do, take the average yearly amount for salary cap purposes.
