A few notable stats from yesterdays game:

Firstly Fitz made 47 tackles and Houghton 44, 2nd and 4th in superleague respectively. They both played 80 minutes so I would expect them to get through a lot of work but that tells me that some others weren't putting it in as they should.

Also we didn't have one player in the top 25 for either metres or carries. I havn't trawled through every player but our top 3 looks like Moa - 107, Ogre -106 and Manu - 101.

Moa is top of Superleague for offloads with 6 and Manu is top of busts with 9.

The telling stats for me though was that we made significantly more metres as a team than Hull KR did from only a handful more carries yet made 14 errors to their 5. That tells me that out forwards played well overall but that most of out work was done clearing our line whereas they were constantly on the attack.

James Roby's 48 tackles and 251m made are more impressive IMO.

A shame they don't include the walk back to your own half after scoring a try

Shouldn't this really be on the Hull board? I'm not to sure that many people other than Hull fans care about individual stats for Hull players?

Liam Farrell notched up 40 tackles off the bench for Wigan

He made 45 tackles had 48 carries and made 251 metres with the ball in hand

Interestingly Soliola for saints made 183 metres despite not making one clean break or tackle bust.
Now that is a yardage machine.

Fitzy also made joint 4th most marker tackles with 8 and Yeamo made joint 1st most clean breaks with 3.

Sort out our penalties we'll be getting better results IMO.

We conceded only 1 more penalty than them!!!
Thats not the reason we got beat so easily.

We were pretty good with ball in hand especially when in their 30. Defence and errors cost us the match. Do you have the missed tackle stat ?

Hulls player to make most missed tackles was Fitz with 4, joint 4th most in the league along with Ben Fisher and Jake Webster. The new God that is Ben Gelea made joint 3rd most in the league with 5.

When Fitzgibbon broke in the 2nd half Hull needed to score. If he had a supporting player to pass to it would probably have been a try, but Newton just tried harder to get back than Yeaman & Lynne tried to push up & support.

Not Fitzgibbons fault, he did his bit, but the error goes against him.

There are no stats for effort. It’s things that they don’t show that often make the difference.

Great point about stats for effort, but I do think they did try and give support. Was good to see a few breaks been made by our players.

Yeamo did well yesterday playing to his strength for both tries but anticipating and supporting a break has never been and never will be a part of his game unfortunately.
