Anyone here have a seat in the West Stand and been told that the SMC have commandeered it for next year and you can't have it?

Been sat in the same place since the KC opened and just been told that I have to move because the SMC need the seats there. Can the SMC do that? Is there a document on the agreement I can research to challenge it?

I know it's not crime of the century but I'm pretty miffed about it. Allam's mob chucking their weight around by the sound of it

I doubt if there is anything anywhere to say you are entitled to sit in a specific seat. A whole chunk of city fans were moved from the east to the north this year to accomodate the move of the away fans

When I got my pass, I asked if W5, W6, W7, and W8 could now be reserved (because of the confusion regarding reserving any seats in the West stand) and was told they were all still "Corporate".

I believe that under the User Agreement the SMC is required to purchase a number of corporate hospitality packages from Hull FC each year. This is worth quite a lot of money to the club and is akin to a rent rebate.

It may be that Allam has decided that if he's going to pay for these seats he's going to have them.

This must have happened recently or surely it would have been in the season pass brochure?

Some sort of official comment from the club would be nice.

I had a call this afternoon, and its never been mentioned to me before (never got a season pass brochure either). I'll be interested to see my old seat area packed to the rafters.



Apparently I can move a few rows forward, into the rainy bit, which doesn't really appeal. I'm probably making this a bit of a drama for no reason but I'm pretty annoyed that its been sprung on us like this.

You're not making a drama, you're expecting a service in return for a payment.

Do you have the original receipt/contract, would love to take Allam on with proof and the funding agreement.

Effectively. We're in W7, so one of the corporate bits, same seat since day 1. The club hold them separately, as I imagine they do for most of the people round us, so we just have to say yes we still want it, and its kept separate from any other allocation and we then pay later, usually around November, which we've also done since day 1. We've mentioned that we still want the seats but haven't paid yet so perhaps that puts us in a difficult position. As far as I can tell the club haven't done anything wrong and the SMC have dropped this on them too.

A group of volunteers putting in their own time and effort to liaise with the club, organise the Heritage events and fans forums, support Meet the Players events. Unless you are matching their level of involvement and effort, and by that I mean engaging with club and fanbase in a remotely constructive way, why criticise?

Because, sadly, that's the kind of guy he is, and I doubt he has anything better to do.
