Robbed against cas on Aprils fools day, the rovers game where we should have won it in the first half. The Wigan game, away and at home with some of the mistakes we made, and the saints game away.

Add that to the poor start we had.

I don't think we have got far to go, couple more quality players, cut out the daft mistakes etc in some games that cost us, and we are there imo..

Many teams can say that though. It's all ifs and buts, we deserve to be wherever we are come the end of the season. ATEOTD, Saints have been hammered by injuries and Leeds aren't the team they used to be, we should be up there on our own merit, not looking back at bad decisions.

Whilst I agree, you have to look back on the past mistakes/errors to move forward/rectify it in the future, to better.

In all honesty were a good bit away from Saints and Hudds and even more so from Wire and Wigan. For me I'd say we should be the 5th best team in the league, but constantly pushing on and upards.

Oh I agree. I should also have mentioned that I totally agree that we aren't [ithat[/i far away. Let's hope with some extra attacking impetus and a kicking game we can push on next year to really challenge.

Well we've got the 5th best attack and the 5th best defence, so there's a decent argument to say we may be a tad unlucky to finish clinging on to a play off place. We haven't won the really tight games have we and thats the sign of a real top 4 side. Possibly unlucky in one or two of them, certainly wigan away but everyside will have the same stories.

I'd take it further...8 more wins we'd be top of the league.

iF We got of our knees second half against Leeds we'd have then met Cas in the semi final then kept Chase quite, made it to the final and because we are so good beat Wigan.

We had a good defence last season as well. At the end of the day unless you win those must win games everything else is immaterial.

The 5th best attack stat has come from having the 5th best attack. Likewise the defence stat. We're also one of the few sides not have had a pasting this season (so far - Wire could change that next week). This all points to the fundamentals being there or thereabouts - what we lack is the ability to win tight games. Having a better kicking game would help with that of course.

Top 4 team? The table never lies and we will finish 8th and Rovers will finish above us (which isn't good considering the disruption they've this season Mason/Dobson/Cock-end saga). AGAR OUT.

Well i know who you mean but we have some very very expeirenced players out there.

The reason we don't win the must win games is that our players have not had the plays and "tactics" drilled into them enough to make it second nature and easier to replicate under pressure. Well that and our sliding defence gets torn to shreds by any team that can pass accurately and quickly.
