Haven’t decided whether this is a blow or not. Hopefully Bowes gets a chance now.

Hood may not be the best but he was the only player to make a break yesterday. I'd be more worried about the other 12 lazy bar stewards who couldn't be arrised to back him up. |

IIRC he mad 2 clean breaks but, it was like watching an action replay.
Sadly, like so many others, he just isnt quick enough these days. |

I suppose we could do another player swap or bring in the Dewsbury fullback under the dual registration agreement. |

Feel the same like the other two Chester signings that are probably all on the most wages as well ..Same as the fullback from HKR not up to the job .Kay was just as good at fullback.We have wasted all the salary cap money this year on overseas players who are no better than what we had .And brough in players with no quality for key positions |

He never was. When at Leigh he once made a break, trundled (rather than ran) about 30 yards, seemingly decided that that was all he could manage and, embarrassingly, went to ground. How the heck he wasn't pinged for self-tackling is a mystery.
Bongser never rated him but there he was hooking for Wakey in SL whilst in The Championship the much maligned Chester signed Edwin Ipape for Leigh! |

But there is no such thing as a voluntary tackle/self tackle to be penalised. |

Come on, FIL, since when has anyone in SL cut Leigh some slack? Last time we were up it was as fall guys and the previous SL chairmen (including Wakey's) collectively voted to award themselves extra SkY dosh taken out of Leigh's share!!! That playing field was about as level as Mount Pleasant.
Hood has been charged but there is the option of a hearing. Leigh took that option last week and sense was seen. |

To be fair to Hood defensively he's probably our best hooker, he hits hard and sticks quite well. But with the ball he's now painfully slow at everything he does and it is giving our halfbacks no time and space at all to work with. Kay speeds thing up but his strength is dummy half running, the rest of his game there isn't anything to write home about. Time to see what Bowes can do with a run in the team.
