| Although I didnt think we would lose today, some of our plays were foolish especially in the 2nd half. Two short dropouts , a penalty that didnt reach touch and a possible crusher tackle in the 80th minute. We seemed to be getting ready for the cup next week rather than putting the result to bed of the opposition in front of them. Lets hope they have got there mistakes out of the system for next week.

| Not taking the 2 on offer twice as well, which resulted in nothing. An extra 4 points would have been a far better cushion
once Salford came back at us.
Easy to say now I know and it does feel churlish after a win but I always say take the points on offer.

| It's difficult to be critical after another good win under the circumstances, but Millers attempt at touch was far too ambitious and daft, had it gone in touch it would have only been level with a tap pen in terms of distance, other than that I thought he had a very good game only overshadowed by TJ

His bombs in the first half were causing Salford all sorts of problems but yes, his kicks to touch at times were embarrassing.
Lets hope we work on this in time for the Wigan game. Good to get issues out of the way, especially if you win the game as well.

| I think we are getting our knickers in a twist, guilty myself yesterday.
Game 8?? Two bad halves of Rugby. Not to shoddy really.
Truth Is WP has chosen to coach and play in a certain way. When it comes off it’s fantastic as it was in the first half. When it doesn’t!!
Truth is the players over reached themselves in the second half for no real reason. Other than to hand out a thrashing that they know most fans want. So it’s hard to be too critical especially as we won.
Kicking into touch was shoddy from Miller and robbed him of my MOM. I wasn’t bothered about the kicks tbh you have to believe in the position we were in that we could win the game without them. The two short drop outs I didn’t get, you do them when your losing not winning.
So yes some silly stuff but considering where we were at HT then you can see where we got giddy. Lesson learned. Don’t stop being adventurous just make sure you execute it far better in future.

| I did get the short drop outs we were against the wind for the same reason I didn't get trying to get yards up the pitch from a mid field penalty it should have been a tap and run Salford were facing their own posts had we taken it quickly

| Agree with most of what has been said already. It seemed like we were our own worst enemies with the short drop outs etc. Having just watched the highlights on Sky I would say we were a bit lucky too as Tom Johnstone's wonder try was from a pass that looked at least a yard forward.

| To me the the problem is we have not got a sub back on the bench ,as soon as T J went of with Batch in the (who I do rate as a player) that side of our attack went dead .With Kay having to play on wing instead of hooker ,we got two problems J C is too slow at every thing a hooker should do when Hood was taking a break (Got to admit J C is one of the most improved players this year ) . With the injuries to our wingers ,should we give Murphy a go on the wing and put Kay back on the bench .Leaving Batch and J C to interchange that plan as been working very well for us this season Good to be talking about problems when we are winning

It was forward but Miller moved forward with it so hard for ref to judge.
I don't really understand why they didn't pull their second last try as one of their players took Miller out as they passed it wide. But sometimes it happens.

| When we were six points ahead why didn’t we go for a drop goal.

Great that the we are moving forward after passing the ball .Leeds of a few year ago were scoring 3 or 4 trys every game with this ploy. Infact all the big teams did\do it .We are learning is that down to the type of rugby we are playing or Coaching

We didn't even try to set up a position for it.
Mind you ,it did mean turning the ball over 10 metres from their line, which isn't the worst tactic.
For me, we seemed to come out after ht thinking that the job was done. All of the urgency and enthusiasm seemed to have disappeared.
Obviously, Johnstone not coming out for the second 40 made a huge difference.

I agree, when you think how insipid it was the last couple of years, it's been like a breath of fresh air watching us now. It was a crazy game no doubt about it, those games against Salford a few years ago seemed to be like that too. There seemed to be a few players struggling the last 10, I hope they were cramp style injuries, Lynne & especially Kay seemed to be shot, obviously hopefully Tom was taken off as a precaution. That first half was out of this world, he is a bit of a rugby freak, in the nicest sense of the word, if there is one!
