According to League Express Finn turned down Dewsbury coaching role.

Good business. Can cover 7/9, good defence, good kicker - knows how to guide a side around.

I think that was due to the club refusing Dewsbury to talk to him.

Perhaps the aim is to get Finn doing some more coaching too so he can develop one of our U19s into a first team half back

Dont watch a great deal of U19s if Im honest.

We did target one and he isnt doing too well with is at the moment.

Good signing - say what you like about him, but we're better when he's on the pitch; that's just a fact.

It would be interesting to see him transition from a playing role to a coaching role - reading the game and organising attacking play in the way he does is quite a skill, and if he can coach it as well as he can do it, other players could only benefit from that.

Finn reminds me very much of Paul Sykes during his time with us. Physically his best days are behind him but mentally he's a key element to the team and we certainly look better with him on the field than we do with him off it. His goal kicking is still there too.

Finn may not have the physical attributes (pace, strength) but when you have a brain like his your 10 yards ahead of most...

It's called stability, keep resigning quality older players and add to them in the close season with quality younger players.
