I was talking to some KR fans today and they were surprised at how bad you are playing as they really rated Webbo's work at Hull KR.

TBF he was only coaching National League level for Hull KR.

Your welcome mate anytime and i remember last year all the praises. You are basically playing your reserves every week, and to shoot him down after his wonderful work last year is a disgrace. The guy works over time at the club, and helps the youngsters out, which is highly respected. Watch this space and it will all turn around soon for the best.

No James we aren't basically playing our reserves but its a convenient excuse to hide the fact that you aren't up to the job. Maybe at a club with more resources and better players than Wakefield but right here, right now? No way. And wonderful work last year? Well a good 6 weeks with new coach syndrome then lost 5 of the last 7. Now only 2 wins out of 10 this year. Not anywhere near good enough.

For me it's not about ability, he may be out of his depth, but an 80-0 scoreline suggests to me his players no longer respect him nor want to play for him.

Funny that the Agar haters aren't mentioning the fact that he was on the other side.
For now I'd rather let Webster sort it out, and get him as much help as we can, whether coaching advice or loan players.
Getting rid of him with no plan of what to do is worse than doing nothing.

Despite Wires poor form, I don't think even Agar could inspire them to lose against this Trinity team right now.

maybe the help he could do with is give john kear the job and make him his no 2 at least he can teach him defensive structure, man management and the art of binding a team together

I understand the question but I can't see what else can be done.
I don't think he should be left alone to fix it, but I reckon he could be good if he can get past this issue.
If we don't give him help and cast him out, we end up back where we were.

I called for some stability with Agar as well which unfortunately he just ddn't use in the end but I don't like just getting rid at the first sign of trouble. We gave him the job because we thought he had something, he should be given every chance to make that happen, even if that means getting him some advice/mentoring.

My personal view is that Webster could be quite good but he is trying game plans with exciting expansive rugby that the players just are not good enough to complete. The low completion rates are then affecting fitness and confidence more every game.
If he doesn't get it under control then he'll unfortunately lose his job.

But we are in exactly the same issue as we were when we ket Agar go. We have limited options to progress.

My opinion at the beginning of the season was that we are going to be fighting in the middle 8.
That's exactly how it is turning out and with some holes in the team, we are heading for bottom of the league and a fight to stay up.
Webster hasn't created that and I'm not sure if even Mr Kear could have got us out of the Middle 8, though I'd feel more confident going in to that stage with him, so we could survive it.

Spot on post PT. My view is that Webster may well be trying to implement the wrong game plan but a more simple plan won't beat many, if any, SL teams. He's got no choice but, unfortunately, Trinity is not a team awash with above average players. If they were top 8 standard they wouldn't be playing for us. Sorry to be blunt but it's the truth - He hasn't got the players in the first place and many of the ones he has are crocked!!!
I know it sounds negative but his best bet is to give the youngsters plenty of game time whilst the senior players rest up, get fit and then get back in to action with the warning ringing in their ears - shape up or ship out! That way forward could be sold to fans as a positive - "Get down to BV and support the next generation of Trinity talent" - instead of the storm of negativity we've got on here at the moment.
I do agree with some posters on other threads that the club is crap at managing fans' expectations - very disappointing after the positive start from MC ( but that's the Trinity way I guess).
