Was Michael Carter daddy cool or a cool daddy f ing and blinding at the travelling wakefield fans. So much for a family sport!

He didn't eff and blind at me, as I, like the vast majority of Wakefield supporters know how to behave. IF he did I suspect that it was aimed at the numb nuts who threw the smoke bombs onto the field of play.
I can fully understand his anger and frustration, this bloke along with Chris Brereton dragged this club back from the brink and is getting it back on firmer foundations than it's had for many a year. He now faces the possibility of an RFL charge and possible fine, money we can ill afford to pay because of the behaviour of some tool/tools.

Many people have claimed to have heard what he said, all saying he said something different. Whatever he said he was caught up in the heat of the moment and is only human.

Could running and swearing at supporters, whoever they support in a loud and aggressive manner be interpreted as "inciting a riot" if he had got a reaction from the said supporters?

I await the press release from the club eagerly about this.

First team player on Twitter (allegedly)swearing and insulting our nearest and dearest and now our chairman swearing at supporters. Alls good for our image I suppose.

My guess would be 2, as If only 1 the bomber would have had to run a lot quicker than Michael Carter did to get from where bomb1 was to bomb2 in such a short space of time.....unless usain bolt is now a wildcat.

I wish some so called RL 'supporters' would concentrate on reporting those hooligans responsible for the disorder at Castleford rather than criticising the WTW chairman who has put a lot into the club and no doubt was challenging those he felt responsible at the time. In the real world not everyone gets it right every time when reacting in the heat of the moment (with differing accounts already of his actions)..those that say they do are talking out of their arris.

I'd appeal to genuine supporters if you've the got the disorder from the hooligans throwing smoke bombs into the pitch on video on your phone give it to the police for evidence, likewise with facebook footage. Let's not let rugby league go in the same direction as football.....

I'm not surprised he was effing and blinding, all the work he's put in to get us operating on an even keel and then some little scrote puts us in the way of a fine for the sake of a smoke bomb?

Fair play to him, at least he cares.

If you were close enough to hear what Carter said, were you close to the smoke bomber? Do you know who they were?

He deserves credit for coming into the crowd and trying to find the idiot(s) who were responsible.

MC and his team have worked their socks off to stabilise this club. If he's a little angry that some idiot is trying to undo what they have done, then so be it. He has apologised. We all make mistakes in the heat of the moment, but the original discretion was pre-planned and potentially very damaging to our club. The two are in no way similar, albeit they have a link!

Hey let's set a good example against bad behaviour by swearing as a result of bad behaviour. Makes sense from a position of power and influence. Not. His reaction after sunday has been as hyperbolic and exaggerated as some of the people on here. It's like people are trying to do their best to overshadow a hard fought win with some minor (and I mean minor) incidents.

The incident could have been dealt with swiftly after the game by having the culprits identified. OR during the game by the stewards - whose job it is to do that.

That's exactly the point Adam. The culprits haven't been identified.
Loads of people will have seen them.
Out them and its over.

I was talking to a couple after the game who said stewards had kicked out the kids with the smoke "bomb", did they not take their names? At BV I've noticed that stewards have cameras on their lapels, did Cas stewards?

The people grabbing the headlines are the ones letting of smoke bombs ?
Our Chairman, who is battling with the tightest budget in SL, was clearly annoyed at the thought of a 10/20k fine and for me did nothing wrong whatsoever, quite the contrary.

Any upset clearly should be aimed at those people who have detracted from a magnificent on field performance by a team that was busting a gut for the club.

Bearing in mind he's invested a lot of time and money into the club only for some morons to grab the headlines for all the wrong reasons at the first game of the season. How would you have reacted if you were in his position?

Ignore the original offence of which there was one and concentrate on any perceived over response by those in authority.

In this case not MC's finest moment and with hindsight he probably wishes he'd been a little more restrained as in all honesty his actions could have incited further trouble.

However this is the crux of the issue - most fair minded folk can understand MC's reaction and sympathise to a degree, spur of the moment emotional. So mild slap on the wrist. The smoke bombing on the other hand was pre conceived with IMHO the perpetrators fully aware of the consequences - a pre-meditated criminal offence.

Can you spot the difference yet?

So lets not lose track of who are the villains and who are the victims here - MC in case you can't work it out is like all decent fans a victim.
