| ...this season!
What a good one it's been already. Can anyone remember a time when we won every league game over the Pennines??? A clean sweep of Wigan / St's / Wire / Salford! Has it ever happened, or are these boys history makers?
So, in this final episode of Pause, re-wind, re-play, we will focus on the memories of the events of this final year, including a reflection on the emotional events of the year but without making it purely focussed on them.
So - over to you one last time!

| i totally agree, the leeds home game was a heartbreaker, finally thought we had chance to break history, but donald duck swiped it from us in the last minutes, i have to say wakefield played immensely and that proved, (as well as beating saints) that we can beat anyone on the day

| I have to say i'm suprised we've done so well and thats all credit to the club and players sticking together, i would have hoped to challenge for the 8th spot so this is a bonus for me. Wining over the hill is always a pleasure and to win them all is not something i can remember doing before.
Wakey fans away from home deserve a BIG pat on the back, the supports outstanding and its an honour to be part of that.
Wigan away first game is my choice although Saints and Wire were special too.
A fitting tribute to Adam and Leon as already been paid and if the lads can take it further then so be it.
Wakey are frustrating and annoying at times but thats part and parcel of being a fan and long may it continue.
Happy, yes

| Despite some fantastic memories (and there have been loads!) the lasting memory will be the Leeds game at home. Very heartbreaking.

| Murrayfield, even though we lost it was a great atmosphere behind the sticks and a great turn out by the Trin fans, nice trip up there in the Hummer as well calling at every available place for a top up of a few sherberts, and Big Als toilet stops

| Have some great happy memories like Wigan and Sts away... and Cas away too!
Great sad days. I know I'm not alone when I say it was deeply emotional when Leon's family attended the game in his honour. Very sad but immensely proud of the way everyone at the club handled the situation from the aweful day in Wales to the tributes on tv and through the whole journey since.

| The highlight for me was the win away at Hull (yes, looking back at how Hulls season has gone it wasn't a massive achievement in hindsight) but the atmosphere from the Wakey fans was excellent and it was on the back of 2 good wins against Cas and Bradford. We were riding high in the SL table (although looking back I don't think we have ever been out of the top 8?)
Great game, fab atmosphere and I really started to believe we could make the playoffs.

| ok - highlights
wigan away was huge as many had written us off totally, and it was both emotional and exciting, it was the stuff you moment to every pundit in the country.
Cas away for a great day out and a great performance, highlight being a bloke turning round with 10 min s to go and telling us not to count our chickens, followed about 5 minutes later by a chant back of "one chicken, 2 chickens etc etc"
Danny brough making the right decision after "beergate", took it on the chin and moved on, strange how "beergate" and the fallout thereafter have regalvonised a season that had just flagged a bit.
And finally being where we are, now, in our best sl position , with good signings in the bag and a team playing well, good time fellow trin fans, good times!

| I just think this whole season has been one of if not the most extraordinary in the clubs history. After losing Adam in the close season and then Leon at the beginning of the season what this team and all those associated with the Club is nothing short of amazing. Sure we've all had the odd grump here and there along the way but a season where we finish 5th/6th and have pulled off some great victories such as Wigan/Saints/Wire/Hull away is just fantastic. All can hold their heads up high players/coaches/fans ect and we go into the play offs with a real chance of making an impression. As a Wakey fan things don't get much better than that.

| and on another note.........honour above the call of duty
John Kear...dignity and power in equal measure, at this point i want no other coach at my club ...ever, and ive never thought that in the 25 years of watching, except for a while with toppo.
JD....dont care that he isnt from the 60's....hes now close to being a legend at his club, even though he tried to sell me one of those "ladies Appeal" calendars at xmas!
Sam Obst, dreadul personal year, not once, twice but 3 times, yes his form dropped, but boy has this big man bounced back, try of season, and he owned pally on day one at wigan!
happy days

| It has been great therapy thinking this through...here goes,
Sitting in a client's office, grabbing an on-line sports update and looking on in utter disbelief at the news about Adam Watene's tragic death. Reflecting on how to tell the news to my boys, the eldest of which had befriended Arana on a previous Summer Camp.
The 10 minutes or so before the Saints game at BV after the video montage honouring Leon Walker when I don't think anybody knew what to do and the silence was only broken by Eddie in the commentary box. Without doubt the most unnatural atmosphere I have ever experienced at a sporting event.
Around that time establishing the part played by the senior pros in supporting King Kear to move forward as a group.
Asking James Stosic where abouts in Australia he came from (d'oh!!!!)
[iOn the field;[/i
Away v Cas - because it is for me and mine without doubt the most eagerly anticipated spectacle of the season particularly under lights, lights that don't light the terraces and make for an experience that won't be replicated in a sterile new stadium
Home v Quins RL - the explosion of noise when Danny Brough's kick went between the posts
Home v Leeds - complete and utter deflation after being so close. Watching my least favourite player (ever) stroll past Ryan Atkins will be another memory that stays with me and together with numerous ones around his inability to draw a defender and put his winger away will mean I'll also remember terrific business by the club.
Away v Saints - fantastic atmosphere, fantastic result
Away v Warrington - as with saints but the added bonus of my youngest being handed a match ball by the Warrington kit man (which he is still sleeping with!)
And perhaps the best memory of all is that feeling at Warrington that we were in the play-offs.

I have to say that memory haunted me for a long time and has only been fully exorcised by the departure of Atkins to Warrington.
Having been at Warrington away and having watched the DVD (get it it's only five quid) I have to say for me it was the best performance of the season.

For all the good times this year and i have enjoyed them, i can't get past these two events, sad to look back on this seasons efforts and have this as my standout memory.
Still can't believe it.

| The eerie ten minutes of silence before the official one minute silence in respect of Leon Walker, I've never experienced anything like it in sport before.
The coming together of the whole rugby league community in support of Wakefield Trinity and the families of those we have lost in the last year or so. I think we got messages of praise, support & condolance from just about every club in the game and some from other sports.
On the playing front, The last minute heartache of losing to Leeds which was mixed with pride and satisfaction at the way we had dominated them for 70 minutes.
Korkidas scoring with what,I think, was his first touch of the ball after returning, you could see in his face that he was proud and happy to be back.

Probably my favourite moment at home all season. Red hot day, Broughy kicking right in front of us and to say there were only about 5k in the ground it sounded 10 times that! I got well and truly plastered after that game I recall.
