Frank is the ambassador for the White ribbon society and is arranging a gathering at Siddal Rugby league club to develop skills for Gay, Bisexual, Lesbian, and transexual rugby league players

I now know that I am getting old, and the days of the likes Rocky Turner, Les Boyd, Trevor Skerritt and all that macho stuff in RL are long gone.

Forget 'Ladies Day' promotions, maybe we should do more to attract members of Wakefield's Gay & Lesbian community into watching our club and our game. An untapped market so to speak. I'm sure it wasn't just the ladies who enjoyed the naked players calendars in the past!

FWIW my wife played for several years for a ladies side and, yes, there were plenty of lesbian players, both there and at other clubs. Not sure which was the funny bit you were on about there!
