I think running through the list we'll average 1000 away fans, when you consider leeds bring 3000, hull kr 2000 cas 2000 and hull saints and Wigan 1500.

Worst season possible hmmm I'd agree is 1000 home supporters; wasnt that long ago we had 4k attendance.. had under 5k for a play off game vs catalans.

If it got that bad though there'd be plenty who had bought their season ticket who wouldnt choose to come.

Sure it won't be like that though.. although based on the last friendly. (yes I know you can't take anything out of friendlies)

Absolutely delighted the smoking ban will be implemented correctly this season!

Three times last year me old man was argued against by different people for politely asking them to not blow smoke in his face.....considering he was in the right knowing it was supposed to be a non smoking stand.....and the fact he's in his 70's and a few years ago was fighting for his life with lung and breathing problems, then I think he had every right to ask the question.

Nothing worse than rude people like that who have to get nasty because someone has asked them to stop doing something......hopefully now it won't happen again....

I used to smoke myself aswell but could always manage to get through a rugby match knowing me Dad didn't like the smoke near him......the same way I could go without on an aeroplane......or in a cinema.....or a restaurant.....etc.....etc.....

Considering all that's been done for us as a club by MC and the staff down there I personally think it's a huge insult for any smoker to complain at all.....just my opinion!

I think its fair that most people are carrying thier own preferences and prejudices, opinions and attitudes. History suggests that most of us used to meet a few mates in the pub on a Sunday night, have a few beers a game of pool and chew the fat. All of the stuff we talk about on here was discussed, argued and more often than not expressed and left in the pub. This is our new pub and it isnt as good for getting stuff off your chest, simply because it stays written on the board for eternity. Some things a said in the heat of a discussion which are neither factual nor do they truly reflect what you believe, you sayit out of frustration or because you are losing the argument.

Most of us on here (and in life) are cynics, but everyone on this forum cares about Trinity, often so much that it hurts.

I have almost 50 years of this clubs historty in my veins and I really hope for 50 years more. I mioss nothing that happens at the club and will often get up very early on a Monday morning to listen to the radio coverage, I will watch every televised game on Eurosport involving Trinity, even if I have to move meetings around.

I have however completely lost interest in everything else about the sport, I havnt watched a UK challenge cup final or play off game in years (except the couple involving Trinity) I have even turned down free tickets to watch State of Origin. I think the latest change to the games structure is an appalling piece of missmanagement, and will do the game untold harm.

So thats why I now pledge to watch Trinity and trinity only, I dont care where we are in the league, what the other teams are doing, who is in what league.

I only care that, each week we play nice attractive football, and do our best.

People can come on here and moan if they want. Personally I've found that moaning, like worrying, is a waste of time and just gets in the way of enjoying life. If you want to moan please go ahead but when you get MC as peed off as he sounds I would just be careful what you wish for.

I wonder how many people moaning about the smoking ban at BV will at some stage this year get on a plane to Tenerife for four hours, Florida for ten hours or even Perpignan/Carcassone/Barcelona for two and a bit hours. Or do they send the family without them and stay at home on principal. ?

while Belle Vue is concrete and metal can you not remember the Bradford disaster caused by one cig butt, just for a few hours can you not respect the rules of the stadium

If they can segregate fans from different clubs then they can segregate smokers and non smokers.

Where does it say segregation been enforced again for next season. Hope it is though created a better atmosphere and we will need that atmosphere for next season.

Rumour going round this evening is that parts of Belle Vue have failed a safety inspection and theres a hefty bill to put it right. Hopefully it is one of those rumours that is either wrong or greatly embellished.

At a guess it would be the terracing on the North Bank if anything were not to pass a safety inspection. I'm sure MC will confirm or deny though, but it may explain his hacked off mood yesterday.

We will see if any areas are cordoned off on Sunday to see if that's true.

I'm under the impression that everyone, including Giants fans will be down the East side for this match unless crowd size dictates they open other areas of the ground

Excuse me for not being gentle on this but what a stupid thing to suggest. There is lots of work going on to get Newmarket working and it has been well documented.
DC has at least two if not three seasons to look after before we are running a club there. Are you suggesting he drops all that to concentrate on something he has little control over right now

yes , having had that disease I welcome the decision re the smoking. Theres a guy who often smokes in the crowd near us and ask him to stop just results in a torrent of abuse from him , so glad he had now been forced to stop. We are a family game engaged in the promotion of health & fitness , taking care of the heart etc so smoking goes against all that. Maybe allowing those that must smoke a pass out at half time is a way of appeasing all.

As for folk sending their season tickets back , come on its our team and we have our backs to the wall again so see you all at Belle Vue shouting loud & proud !
