Hmm, well we'd sold just over 2500 at the start of October IIRC so another 1000 in 2 months isn't too bad imo - We might even end up with 4000 - if we can get 500 people to pay top whack before Feb.

I don't think the number so far is a bad thing at all.
Of course when you set a target and don't get there it is disappointing but being honest, they put a lot of pressure on to get the deal on the first deadline. We achieved our 2,500 then and this would have been made up of supporters who either wanted one anyway, or were tempted by the cheap deal. The ones left are now those that weren't sure and wanted tos ee what everybody else did, and jumped on the bandwagon when the deal was extended.
In reality the late group was never going to be a big one. If you weren't tempted by the first deal you are unlikely to suddenly change your mind and get one.
The late buyers group will be expanded by Christmas presents for friends who couldn't afford them first time round but to get another 1,500 was always a stretch target.

Next season, after bigger crowds and hopefully more successful team we could be looking at increasing the number, but for now I think they are doing well.

Out of interest, how do the sales compare to previous years? Did we get this many in the playoff years?

There will be a huge number of season tickets bought in the two week run up to the first game of the new season, that's normal and happens every year irrespective of offers or confidence in the club.

I wouldn't be surprised if we reach 4,500.

And last year we sold very few season tickets, how does that add up to huge numbers sold before the first game?

When I was in the Ridings on Saturday ordering mine, my dad's and my boy's there were a few in front of me and some waiting too. The girl on the desk said they'd had a cracking week and expected it to get really busy later that day as they'd been inundated all week. We can't be that far off if in that 15 minutes alone we had sold maybe another 15 to 20. There are always people who wait right until the last minute. My mate in Barnsley didn't even know about the offer so I sent him down to Belle Vue this morning. The club has done a decent marketing job I think and certainly this extension will have boosted the numbers considerably.

Anyone know when they are being sent out? I elected to receive ours by post, it would be good to have them before Christmas?

They are available for collection from Ridings shop tomorrow, 1st December. Would have thought the posyal ones would have been sent out at the same time.

At a recent meeting of the Trust board, JE said that there were still 700 people who had bought a ST last year who hadn't yet got one for next season.

I guess it's reasonable to assume that a large number of those people will buy before the 1st game?

It depends where you live, if you’re nearby you’ll have to pick ‘em up yourself.

If you live further afield then, they will be posted, no idea what the criteria is regarding who’ll get theirs posted. Then it’s got to go through the Royal Mail

I hope thats the case BUT i am one of those along with 3 more in this house and all the people i stand with bought last year and HAVE bought this year, so i find that hard to believe.

Thanks for the guidance, I did elect for them to be posted. As you'll know from my postings I don't live in the Wakefield area anymore, am an hour's drive away. I will watch the post eagerly, especially since my fiancee and future mother-in-law were so eagerly looking at their Hull FC passes yesterday

Yup..available today from ridings superstore. Sensible ploy by Trinitys marketing peeps,,,, saves on postage and gets you in the shop to buy those Trinity related pressies!!

Had it confirmed from the club, that this is the case.

Personally I would have run the offer until the weekend when most of the xmas shoppers would have been out and about. Take advantage of the late night opening tonight and the extra weekend pre-xmas footfall. One last marketing push in the Wakey Express & on the website and had a team in the precinct, at Trinity walk and in the ridings. Still never mind.

Would like to know how many we sold in the end though, even though its unlikely we got near the 4000 mark.

Says on the WTWildcats Facebook page that we are at 3,600.
Not sure that that is an official total but sounds good to me.

Good effort, I just hope most of the 600 who've bought since the initial deadline are adults rather than concessions. This would give just over 2k adult gold members, netting the club approx. 200k.

Woman in shop today said round about 3800 altogether, also you get a free MOT at that Motorcity - handy mines coming up in January! Also a £5 off replica shirt voucher so the season ticket will have cost me about £50 realistically speaking.

Just hope the team can match the board/supporters efforts now - over to you Richard!
