I heard Daddy Cool only did one cartwheel last time out because he is on a really big contract and Elston is forcing him to do more while he also fell out with Agar because he got in the way once when they all ran out.
Clearly Agar has his favourites and wants Bullboy instead but there was a total stand up row about it in the board room and a potential big sponsor is threatening never to put money in if Daddy Cool continues to only do one cartwheel.

Apparently this is also why Mariano is leaving because he was caught hiding in the suit rather than doing sprints at training....

He was dropped at Magic Weekend against Castleford for Tautai, his contract is up and tbh I want him to atleast have another year as hes been playing well.

Think he had a thorough medical at Salford and not at Wakefield.

doesn't seem to be up to Super League standard and sent out to Dewsbury to improve his fitness by playing one game? Sounds like serious injury or other issues to me,Agar should comment.
Poor signing IMHO even if he did come cheap. Any further squad trimming and he must be top of list surely.

As for Wilkes he deserves another 1 year contract, that try against Widnes was outstanding and he's been great at prop.

And covering at Second Row when needed.

As always with things like this, it all depends how much he wants and whether we've got someone better to replace. I thought he was pretty ordinary for the first half of the season tbh but has definitely been in good form of late & had some good games for us.

Does the player have any say in it? What if he doesn't want another year?

I have no idea why he's there. I haven't asked! But seen as he's a second rower who would you like him in front of out of Danny, Ali, frankie or tautai?

I would also say it's not that hard to rubbish something as complete ballcocks as was suggested! We aren't hull fc and no board member has ever attempted to influence team selection. End of.

That is your prerogative to think that Molloy shouldn't have been signed. It's oh so easy being a keyboard coach. Sometimes you take a chance with signing players. Some work some don't. For every molloy there will be an Aiton. Nobody had heard of him before RA brought him over. It's a lot easier with hindsight.

I would also add that do you honestly think the board puts their own hard earned cash in to deliberately waste it on signings. We are not a Wigan! We don't get the pick of players. Hence we have to gamble somewhat more trying to unearth players that work for us that might not have worked for other teams. Kyle amor and Danny Kirmond to a certain extent, being prime examples

Nobody had heard of him because he is garbage! Its ok taking a punt but why give him 2 years? Why not go til the end of the season with an option of a further year in the clubs favour? He wasn't in any position to refuse that. To sign him and then lose Mariano to Cas for the sake of ten grand is, quite frankly, ridiculous.

He wasn't given 2 years. And there is more then 10k difference between what molloy is getting and what frankie is getting at cas. And I like frankie. I'm gutted he's going. But cas offerred him far more thn we could.

They don't have any say in selection, if they did maybe Lyne wouldn't get picked!

And as for Frankie i know what he is getting at cas . If the difference is more than 10k then he did right to turn it down. He would have stayed for the sake of a little negotiation.

Can't believe people use the release of Kyle Wood as a stick to beat Agar with. The signing was a weird one from day one. Came from Shudds with Kirmond to help carry Kirmonds gear.

I think if signings don't work out like Molloy the club should work out an exit strategy for him and move him on getting him off the wage bill even if he's cheap as he isn't contributing. I know it's easier said than done but with Tuson, Kirmond, Tautai, Annakin, Lauitiiti, Walshaw and Trout in the squad can't see Molloy getting a game this season or next.

The exit strategy will still have to follow employment law. You can't just dump someone.

Send him out on loan to cover his wages to a lower division club to help improve his fitness and put him in the shop window. That's what I was thinking. If there are injury issues though this may be preventing it and why it's not happening.

The joy of keyboard coaching is that you can ignore all those inconvenient things like employment law, the players wishes and financial constraints; it's a very black and white world in which all decisions that don't concur with your own, despite the fact that you don't possess all the data, are wrong; it also imperative that one individual must be to blame for every single thing that doesn't go your way.

Think I've been mis quoted as I never mentioned showing him where the job centre is at Wakey or blaming him for our performances.

But are you happy to keep him as a fringe player then who is not sent out on loan or played like Motu Tony and others a few years ago? Think a small club struggling financially has to look at developing its players and if they are not in the 19 week in week out then they probably have to be loaned out like Trout, Goulding, Mariano, Mellars, Walshaw, Kay and Cowling to name a few. Molloy went and played one game for Dewsbury and that's it. Why?

This is a discussion Forum not 'Super League Coaches are us' and like other fans I'm intrigued to know what the issues are surrounding Molloy who has a good pedigree but who when has played for Wakey has been only a mere shadow of the promising young second row from Wigan then Huddersfield, playing few minutes. By submitting this in the discussion forum I hope others may have some suggestions rather than mock...
