Season standard mistakes costing us but the ball is being moved fast and gaps are being created. Kendall gave them field position for much of the last 5 minutes or so but we held on.

Excellent try just scored, from Croft offloading the ball from seemingly been bundled into touch to the quick jands to switch it to the other flank for Kay to score.

Shame a pretty competive game ended that way. Glad we're not going to have that prick officiate us again, at least not for a little while anyway. The sin binning ruined the game and fair play to HKR they went for the kill in that 10 minutes.

Well that got ugly. Thank god this season is over, here’s hoping the new guy is all he’s cracked up to be and the future is brighter.

It’s usually a sad time for me when we’ve played our last game , but boy I couldn’t wait for the end of this game and our disastrous season. Tonight’s performance really hit home just how poor we’ve been if any was needed . As good as Mike’s Lewis is , we made him look a super star tonight ,and that collar grabbing attempt of a tackle by Crofts pretty much summed the night and the season up if I’m honest . Not Good enough in all facets of our game and haven’t been all season . Roll on next season because whatever happens between now and our first game in the championship it surely to God can’t be any worse than what we’ve had to put up with this season

He does make some questionable decisions. We never seem to get the rub of the green with him.
The penalty decision in front of the post was his parting gift to us all I think…
Anyway we can all look forward to a well earned rest from Chris Kendall’s activities for a while at least..

Personally, I think hes OK, with a bit of attitude, but plays with his heart on his sleeve. I have also seen that when he is under pressure and marked closely by the opposition, has a habit of losing his head a bit.

How many times do we make players look good, purely by backong off and not closing opponents down.

One thing I noticed tonight, in the second half collapse, which it was, only the kids could be d chasing back.

At least 24 points were "gifted" to Rovers through his very dubious decisions. And we used to think Childs was bad.

Our complete lack of any pace across that back line was ruthlessly exposed by HKR. In previous weeks Mason Lino has swept up at the back but he was unfortunately missing there tonight.
Don't know how we ended up with that squad tonight, injuries or Mash giving the finger to the fans. Had we depended on Leeds beating Cas tonight an equivalent Rhinos team would have had us crying foul and accusing them of bringing the game into disrepute.
A very painful and piteous end to the season.

So the season was salvageable against Castleford but we weren’t up for the battle and gifted Cas safety and survival as a Superleague club. Win that game and we’d have stayed up on points difference!
