| Of course 88M will follow Newmarket with a keen interest. As soon as it's a definite that Belle Vue will cease to be a rugby stadium, they can send in the bulldozers.

Their company seems very vague, do we actually know the registered name of the company obliged to do this because if its Yorkcourt Properties they aren't even a limited company.....
Yorkcourt (200icon_cool.gif Limited seem a little better on paper but seriously doubt they have the wedge to finance this looking at the figures.
There are also a couple of other linked companies (JLB2007 One), Shoremayne Limited, CDM Properties - it all seems a bit complecated and not straight forward who's who and what's what.

I believe YorkCourt changed their name last year to Shoremayne.

The Unilateral Undertaking which is to be rescinded is in the name of Yorkcourt (200icon_cool.gif Ltd. We have not seen the draft of the new multi-party agreement so don't know who will be the named party yet.

| Companies House shows that the directors of Yorkcourt (200icon_cool.gif Ltd resigned 24 hours before signing the S106 agreement and only rejoined the board in March 2017. I am sure the planning lawyer will be a aware of this and ensure the new agreement does not end up the same way!

I agree with all of this. There has been no transparency whatsoever from the council and the developer and yesterday I feel was simply a PR exercise by the council leader to yet again be absolved of all responsibility. The trust are doing a remarkable job and I guess that we will have to wait until they have had their meeting with the council & developer to hear more details first but a public meeting is surely necessary so that all those that have a vested interest in a community stadium for Wakefield can be given a platform to speak.
For local councillors to be barred from speaking to their constituents last week when they wrote to them to voice their concerns was shocking. Yet again we are hearing about private meetings between the council and the developer. Will they have taken any minutes at that meeting and why did the not seek representation from any other interested party?
Will Wakefield council really work hard to fight for a much needed sports stadium for its citizens?
I have my doubts

| The Trust have requested a copy of the new 106 agreement being proposed in advance of our meeting. I am sure that you willing appreciate that this is a work in progress and will likely be published as and when agreed between the various parties.
In the meantime, it would be remiss of me not to thank all of those who either attended yesterday or who have written or acted in support of this scheme. Please keep this moving - we will do our best, but we are few and you are many!

The work you are doing is greatly appreciated and I agree we need to keep this action moving.
You could feel the momentum building over the last couple of weeks and it would be a shame for it to stop now. We all need to continue to tweet and post on FB Andrea Jenkins correspondence requesting a public meeting.
In Wakefield there are lots of thriving junior football teams and a community stadium would be a brilliant venue for them to all come together and who know Wakefield FC could eventually be re-born.
We have the beginnings of a rejuvenating music scene in Wakefield with the renovated Unity Works, could a community stadium become the future home to music concerts?
Yes WT would be the anchor tenants but the stadium could be home to so much more.
I really hope the trust will ask for the help of us fans if they need to put any further pressure on those involved as I sense that there are many of us that are willing to assist when required.

| Very pleased with the efforts of Andrea Jenkins.
Hope that she keeps up the pressure. As a conservative
She will not be gagged by the shackles that Box has put
Upon the labour councillors who by and large have shown
A lack of respect for their constituents by not standing up to Box.
Local politics stink who does Peter Box think he is ... Adolf Hitler.
Time for someone to grow a pair and I believe Ms Jenkins has started to help our cause now. Pity a certain Mr Balls failed to show his.

| I particularly asked my council members as my representatives to give me their view on the Newmarket situation . Not one replied, even after repeated emails deploring their lack of professionalism etc etc.
What sort of democratic way of running local politics is that.
Utter disgrace !

Sadly it's become evident to me that Wakefield council has become a dictatorship after years and years without opposition. You could put a donkey up in some wards and as long as it's got a labour badge on people would vote for it. I hope the tide is turning

Oh the irony.
The galling thing for me is that the Newmarket development appears to have been used as a "test site" for the Glasshoughton project.
At least it gives the trust members a bit of a lift, because it must be one hell of a slog.

| I think he means that Box realises that he made mistakes in his dealings with Yorkcourt and has learnt from these mistakes to ensure that his beloved Cas Tigers get their stadium built, whilst ours never will !!

| still can't believe how a council leader who for years has stressed that Newmarket was nothing to do with WMDC has suddenly become the potential saviour of the project. We need full transparency from now on, and ALL meetings should have members of ALL sidesf the multilateral parties present, and ALL meetings fully minuted. Also, if Sir RMW has formed a breakaway Community Trust, how come there was no mention of it yesterday?

It's blatantly the actions of someone who doesn't want any further digging into the actual reason why Newcold was granted approval outside of the UU.

If SRW has done that and Box decides to by pass the present trust and deal with that man instead I believe it would cause a massive uproar. Especially after the council meeting where he acknowledged the trust he would be dealing with is the one in place. He even spoke to TRB in the gallery and pointed out it would be his responsibility to make it happen.
It has always been my opinion that SRW is bluffing in order to save face after his failure in the matter.
It must also be pointed out that in the last couple of weeks there has been more progressed made than all the years he was in control.

Actually, I'm a little surprised at the speed at which Box & Co succumbed to the pressure and the extent of his concessions to the Trust and the public. All the clandestine meetings with Yorkcourt behind closed doors, and the decisions aired yesterday, could well have been waiting in mothballs for quite sometime until when/if the "heat" and pressure started getting a little too intense for Peter Box.
