Tautai was having a mare with drop balls and penalties but got it under control.

Collis was class, Sykes was pushing for MoM and Ali was Ali. They just couldn't stop him.

Mom could have gone to about 4 or 5. Thought mcshane was excellent as was Sykes at full back. Great all round team performance.

I thought Tautai had a ridiculously strong game carrying the ball and regularly made 25 metres with 3 or 4 defenders trying to haul him down.

He only dropped a couple but also had two very dubious forward passes ruled against him which gave the impression that he was error ridden.

On today's performance I'd be happy to take Sykes on another year and have him play fullback, looked comfortable there today for me, and came into the line well

Well I'm going to put a mention in for john Molloy. He gets some uncalled for stick at times. He has never let us down and I thought he was very solid today.

Feel sorry for anyone who looks to slag people off on here. There wasn't a bad performance out there today.

Seconded. Although there were some very strong candidates for MoM it was a special team performance IMO.

Yeah, I agree I just don't get some of the moves from Wakefield, just when you think the squad is knitting together dismantling commences.

Special mention for TT who signed for Wigan ages ago but has put in 101% every game. He could have easily shut up shop but has give his all for the red, white and blue.

Great team performance. Thought the defence for the last 15 - 20 minutes of the first half was excellent. Salford have some very very good players and to keep them out was just brilliant. Everybody gave 100%. Just lost our way with the ball in hand for the first 10 mins of second half but soon got back to the plan. Best performance this season. Tim Smith is a god, best player on the park by a mile.

As good a performance as we've seen for quite a while, Godinet looked a major threat throughout and linked well with Smith and Sykes joined the line nicely. Hope Ali has signed up as on that form he is still one of the toughest players in the league to keep quiet. Would love to keep Collis fit for a full season the bloke is all class and we need him in the side. All that said Salford were truely awful though! When you think what they have spent on that team pound for pound they have been the worst 'team' to visit Belle Vue this season.

That 1st 40 minutes was one of the best halves I've seen us play for some time. Then to resist the temptation of putting the cue on the rack in the last 20 minutes. The players can't do anymore to entice fans to purchase season tickets.

Totally agree M62, best all round performance in a long long time. For me we looked a real threat, played like a team not a load of individuals, made me and my boy very proud watching that today. What James Webster has done in his short tenure has been pretty remarkable. With positive news on the recruitment front it's starting to look a whole lot rosier, looking forward to giving our friends a game next week.

Agree. These past few months, Trinity have been a pleasure to watch under Webster. Unreal turnaround especially in defence. In the win against Salford, everything came together for the full 80 and we played some excellent RL in both attack and defence.
