Cas wont be in the wcc unless they win the grand final and even then it may not be guaranteed, I am trying not to have a complex on this but I don't really think that the powers that be want to have cas spotlighted as on of super leagues BIG 3, do you?

If we were in the same position as Cas we would be shouting from the rooftops, and I for one wish them the best, however not against us. I'd rather any Yorkshire side win silverware than those on the other side.

Cas have finished above you 10 times out of 18, 2 of which came in 2010 and 2011 before Millward took over.

Could play this silly game all day long. The fact is we are the first team in Wakefield to be in contention to win the league. Yeh we have been relegated twice but we have come back stronger so probably did us good.

That is why I failed my Geography O'Level as I have always believed Castleford was a separate town from Wakefield.

When you came back up through winning promotion from top spot in 2005 you were immediately relegated in 2006, when you were promoted again in 2007 and finished in 12th position, if SL had not expanded to 14 teams' you would have gone down again, so its a bit of a myth that you came back stronger. We also were in contention early in the piece to win the league but unfortunately fell away earlier than you did, (Fully's Law) I'm sure you will come back and let us know if and when you do manage to win something

I think we are running out of steam on this one.

No point trying to prove Cas are not as good as they are.
They have had low times, and as much as you point it out, it doesn't detract from the fact they are at the top of a wave right now. It will be great for the smaller clubs for Cas to win something. I can't see League leaders shield but it's still possible in the last match of the season. If they get to the Grand Final I'll be supporting them over any other team in the top eight, without actually bringing myself to sing or cheer on their behalf.

I loved the comeback yesterday and would have been heckling on here if we'd taken the wind out of their Grand Final sails, but we didn't. So boasting about being better in previous years doesn't really help.

It's the fact that most Cas fans I've come across are acting like they've been the dominant Wakefield side for yonks, even more so now they are where they are. Darryl Powell may be a decent coach but he sure isn't gonna turn that fat lad into another Daryl Clarke.

Every club has fans that come out of the woodwork when they have a bit of success.
I remember going to Odsal when we always used to draw them in the Cups and there weren't many fans there but you can ask as many Bulls fans as you like and they will all say they were there.
We had fans coming out of the woodwork for the last couple of seasons, pinning their colours to the mast but as soon as they had to start paying a fair price for a ticket and not getting freebies, they soon disappeared back into the woodwork.
