| Silverwood has shown what a incompetent fool he is during the Catalan game againSt Warrington he made the game into a farce and same again today the try they had to make it 18 was yards forward our try at the end was borderline ! Pathetic. He even randomly penalized Shudds for not playing ball rite. Before the game i said hes a shocking ref after the game i left thinking he is a moron!

| Quote ="PONNER"Cheated? Get a grip! Silverwood finally decided to pull one of your forward passes that Joe Mantanna would have been proud of in his day. We didn't really get out of 1st gear today which is probably due to our tough game last week yet it was still good enough to beat your best. To be fair your performance would probably have beaten a mid table team but not quite good enough for us big boys.'"
If you think we played well today, you need to watch the tape back. We were dropping balls, getting in each others' way, throwing sloppy passes. Our poor was better than your poor, bolstered by more heart, but the rub of the green was just enough to see you right on the scoreboard.
Crowing after 4 rounds is unwise.

| Was so proud of our efforts today and agree with what most of our fans say, a little bit more composure and tidy up the passing and we're building steadily into a useful side. Our fitness has improved so much since last season and we're looking strong in the second half now. I believe we will improve on last years 8th and see us giving a game to all the teams in this league. Heartbreaking at the end to have that try disallowed, it was right in front of me and I couldn't believe it was given forward but would certainly like to see it again. Thought Cockayne, Ali and Aiton had really good games, and big raps to all the forwards, that was a bruising battle. Thought they were gonna blitz us after the first 10, credit to our boys for their spirit for the rest of the game. Nice gesture from Anderson to say the best team lost, hope we can keep continuing like this, our support is gonna grow even more if it does.

| Cannot fault the teams commitment but we have definetely got to tighten up on our discipline. Shudds had more piggy backs upfield from careless tackling. It seemed that every time we had them on the backfoot we let them off.

| Just watched it back on SL Fulltime - the pass was flat at worst, unlike the one that put McGilvary away for his third, which was clearly forward.

His first was boarder line also. I think it was the time of the game that made it hurt most and the fact it was against an average team who have had a good start and we don't often get the satisfaction of winning but that's said bring on Catalans games can't come quick enough at the moment!!

| freeze at the point Luke Robinson throws the pass and then again at the point JM catches it and the ten metre line gives you a good indication of how far forward it is. I'd estimate about 2.5 metres or 7ft in old money

Exactly The clan Luke Robinsons pass was well forward yet Tim Smith's pass is at worst a flat pass...Richard Silverwood and touch judges should be ashamed....

| Watched the highlights and Smiths was forward but so was huddersfields first. I was more bothered about general inconsistencies though he seem to ping us at every opportunity but they were allowed to muck a out at play of the ball.

I am glad someone mentioned it. For those that attend reserve games I am sure they will recognise one of them because he refs those games regular. He is the most blatant anti Wakey ref I have ever seen. Hope he never gets a first team game but if it happens you will see how bad he is.
(He was the big lad on touch infront of East stand in second half)

| The first half momentum seemed to shift when Wood was brought on in place of Lauitiiti, Huddersfield absolutely crucified him by constantly targeting him in defence. I’m surprised Annakin wasn’t brought on instead. Poor substitution form Agar IMO. That, the poor ball retention and the constant panicking in try for a pass that wasn’t on were Trinity’s downfall. I was too busy celebrating to see the forward pass but whether it was forward or not Referee’s judgements are out of the team’s control.
It was a scrappy game but for intensity and drama I loved it, just a shame about the ending.

Wasn't a scrappy game at all but we all see it different.
Watched it on telly, was just a forward pass but on any other day we may have got it....never mind.

Absolutely right, do the same with Tim Smiths and you'll see it is also forward by about 2 metres. The problem is one was allowed to stand and one was ruled out!

| have you guys been on the receiving end of the 'swirly arm' thing yet? Catalans made 4 high tackles in 5 minutes darn't lane today and nothing said.
Hauraki also had his nose broke with seconds left but no penalty given
ref's favouring the away teams both sides of the common by the sounds of it, we also had a try disallowed for a FP but the dragons had one given.
key word: CONSISTENCY

| I have to agree with Vastman here I thought Shudds were in full gear. We battered their forwards Ralleigh, Poore and Amor outstanding Wilkes is so off pace its untrue he got KR back in the game and he did same against Huddersfield. Silverwood and the touch judges lost it for Wakey as Paul Anderson said the best team lost. Thought Kyle Woods display was extremely poor when he came on. Shudds were battered and bruised you were extremely lucky!

| What makes me laugh with seasons gone by is at the start of the season ref's scrutinise and over penalise certain parts of the game e.g play the ball and obstruction. Six games in and they could not care less, now that is bad consistency.

That's how I saw it on full-time, as well as JM's first try, which was even more forward. Smith to Smith was forward but that was the one that was picked up on.
Perhaps it is harder to spot on long passes because mentally you allow for momentum of the ball, and sometimes short flat passes can look forward when they are flat because of the different speed of the runner collecting the ball.
I blame Lee Smith's years at Leeds, because they don't play the forward pass rule in front of the South Stand.
