Very Bad Things was a very dark film was it not ? A very good film though.

Yeah, excellent film, especially the first time you watch it. I would definately describe it as dark!

For me it's not a great film, very dated and drab. I know I should like it but I don't other than the Trinity references.

Cant believe nobody has mentioned Toy Story, absolute class.
All my others have been mentioned, so i shall not trouble anyone further.

Oh well if we are going down the kids root, Willy Wonker the original version and one that no one ever seems to remember was H&R Puff in stuff.

Most kids films from your childhood are good, nostalgia is a happy place for most of us.

Watch it most days with my little un, never tire of it.
Dispicable Me, is worth a watch too.

The Outsiders is my favourite.

JFK just blows my mind away, I could write a dissertation on the conspiracies of subsequent US administrations going back to before WW2 right up to present day.

Agree on Toy Story, genre changing, great character creation and story telling.

Silence of the Lambs was another great film that spawned a number of similar themed films one of which was the very underrated Copycat.

Predator, great shout. One of the few films I can watch then put on again straight after. Never get bored of watching them mow the Amazon down.

Jesse Ventura what a legend he's become. He'd make a quality trin fan on here. Watched his vids on youtube until 2am the other night. Reminds me of another sportsman who had the tools but not the skills then grew old talking crap.

Bit OT but 2 great 5.1 experiences for me are Blade Runner and Unforgiven, it kinda rains throughout those films and fills the room with extra atmosphere.

I watched NEDS a couple of months ago, decent film and was pleasantly surprised by it but I wouldn't put it my best list. Loved Dog Soldiers, best film Neil Marshall has made, even though I liked The Descent as well.

Good spot, no I wouldn't either I'd just watched it last week and it was the most recent film I could think of when I posted - did enjoy it though.

7 pages and nobody has mentioned Life of Brian. I am appalled.

Without been pedantic, the XXX version again is a lot better, however its called The Penetrator and not The Terminator, and trust me, the Arnie character is a big boy !

Which ever film wins best picture at the Oscars tends to be one which I avoid. The exception to this rule is Crash. Quality film.

Its not a bad film, I just resent it. Its good, yes, its solid, its well acted, its well written, but a masterpiece it is not.

I resent it because it always comes top of critics polls of the 'best films ever' and everyone seems to just accept it as fact, so they go about chosing it in their own. I don't think its prominence is a reflection of the majority of people's tastes, I think folk are so used to hearing it called one of the best films ever that we just accept it as that. I mean does its story match up to say Gladiator? Does the cinematography stand up to The Shining? Does it have the emotional force of Schindler's List? Does it have the tension and action of Jurassic Park?

I just think there are so many more films that beat it in so many more areas.

But your taking it on there with four other films, its like saying does your wife has boobs as big as ......... or does she have a backside as good as ........... or legs as good as ............... or can she swallow it all like ..............
