Free agents are free agents. What you can't do is poach players mid-season. The main problem will be quota issues, as the spaces might not be available for the players that are worth having. Or even immigration issues.

Think it will go ahead as players will be playing for contracts at other clubs. Sends out the wrong message if they refuse to play, rightly or wrongly.

When 7 players were recently disciplined Crusaders used 3 players from South Wales Scorpions.

Will the club exist? I just can't see why they would want to carry on. The owners bought a super league club that always expected to be that way. What investment opportunities are there? Two seasons and an unsustainable super league club. Will hardly make them want a drop in revenue so that they can build towards something unsustainable.

Think affects more than 7 players though

Chris Irvine, who seems to have a bee in his bonnet regarding Cas & Trinity sharing a stadium, has tweeted the Crusaders player will be partaking in the final 5 matches In order to secure contracts for next season.

Would of thought the players will want to play to but themselves in the window for securing contracts elsewhere for next year. Could make this a more tricky game for us .

Gareth Thomas just commented on radio there was no guarantee that the players would be paid this month or next and that they were only told about the application withdrawal this morning at training.

Some players said on twitter that they only found out when it was announced on tv.

I've been talking about Jarrod Sammut since he played his first game at Crusaders - we should definitely be inviting him in for a chat; he's a cracking player and has all the right ingredients to become a crowd favourite. With Gareth Moore as his understudy, we'd be sorted.

sammut ideal for fullback,but a bit of a headless chicken at times for the 6/7 shirt imo. i cant see them trying on sunday tbh.

Agreed. Depends where their heads are. As a team, they're good enough to beat us, despite their league position. We sooooo need to be up for this one. Our cup final this season, sad as it sounds.

From the clubs point of view but it's great from a fans view, you get to find out all sorts of little snippets of information that you never would of. It's great to see what tweeters really think, especially at the height of a controversial moment. Better than pre prepared press statements wrote by someone else and trotting out the same old robotic lines.
