| Let's not forget that in our last few games we've played without Ryan, Scruton, Moore, Kirmond & Collis bar 2 games.
We've also had Ali, TT, Godinet and Anderson returning from lengthy injuries and therefore haven't been 100% match fit.
Part of the reason players have been missing is because the club has put next seasons goals ahead of the very slight chances we had of reaching the 8 this year.
We've announced some very good signings for next year, L Paea, Simon, Ashurst, Riley and Hall and it looks as though we've resigned Tim Smith.
There are reasons why Yesterday was poor but look beyond that to next season

| I wasn't too bothered about the result yesterday, I was shocked that the game was so poor - I was bored..
However James Webster has shown enough for me to say that we will be better next season. We had many players out we were particularity light in the front row. We had 3 players who would have to play for long minutes and most likely carrying knocks. Things are looking better for next year and it looked like in James' pre-match conference that there is a few people we're waiting for replies from and he said that it looks confident.

| Ridiculous over reaction even by the standards of this forum - usual suspects I notice.
Yes it was inept and for £20 I accept we did deserve better.
However to link this to season ticket sales is plain dumb or just malice - not sure which.
This season has seen us turn from the third maybe second worst team in the comp to what I would now call solid mid table. We now have a guy who at least appears to understand positions, tactics and motivation.
We look fairly solid for next year and this result has no bearing on that. Season ticket sales will remain solid, I intend to buy one for the first time since 2009. To throw your season ticket on the pitch or threaten not to buy one is both pathetic and childish - who exactly are you hurting?
We got rid of Agar, after being Cas whipping boys for the first 2 games we played them we very nearly put the record straight last week. We beat Leeds and Warrington plus a few more good scalps after getting rid of Agar (at last!).
Nothing is nailed on for next year and we must improve we really must - but there has been enough in the second part of this year to suggest that is possible if we ALL do our bit.

6 of them for me, Mathers, Sammut, Scruton, Tautai, Kirmond, and Ryan, I wonder if it had been televised Mr. Hemming's would have informed the viewing public that Wakefield were shorn of so many players as he has consistently made such a point with all the other clubs' throughout the season, perhaps not eh.

| Vastman - I've had a season ticket for six of the last seven years. I have my reasons for not buying one next season - one of them being the lack of consistency over the SL era. I'm simply fed up of going to games and, coming away disappointed. I don't mind losing, I do mind brainfarts and dumb rugby. Anyway, according to you, not buying a ST makes me dumb or malicious or childish or pathetic. You on the other hand haven't bought a ST since 2009. Presumably you had your reasons for not buying one and presumably you weren't being dumb, malicious, childish or pathetic. We all support the club in our own ways. Posters on this forum forget you are a small minority of Trinity supporters. Instead of the insults against long standing supporters you might use your time trying to persuade the 3500 fans we seem to have lost this season

Things change, but I can never remember the team building process landing at the might buy a season ticket brigade. If you want one you will get one. If and only if Wakey put a good team on the field will the walk ins attend and pay £22.
Im a bit sick of the buy one because excuses.

Nobody can force anyone else to purchase a season ticket.
However, bemoaning Wakefield's lack of consistency over the SL era seems a strange reason to stop buying.
Apart from a brief incursion into the top 6 (together with a fall in the play off game against Les Cats), we have
bee a bottom half of SL club and we have come close to extinction (twice).
Right now, although supporter numbers are a long way short of the inflated numbers during the Glover reign,
the
Club appears to have some stability, a reasonable coach and a committed (if small) management team.
In order to prosper, we need people like your self to renew your ticket and if possible, encourage one or 2
of our "floating" fans to sign up as well.
As I said, nobody can (or will) force you to come but, the future looks better than it has done for some time, again,
excluding the Glover "fantasy" era.
Keep the faith (if your nerves and blood pressure can stand it)

The only issue on this thread, is the people saying they are not buying solely because of yesterday's performance. That seems wrong to me, but if there are other reasons then so be it.

Even the great team that went to Wembley were inconsistent. That's life for a poor club that can't have a big squad of superstars. You work with what you have and a small squad has off days and you don't have anyone at the same level to spell the ones not performing.
I'd suggest either accept it and enjoy the highs we have or support a Leeds or Wigan. There aren't many other options.

I'm a bit sick of the won't buy one brigade, because it's those people that are making the excuses' not buy one brigade as you call us, I couldn't give a stuff if people don't buy them for whatever excuse but please don't criticise us that do.

| People have a choice when it comes to season ticket purchase, should I or shouldn't I . It then comes down to the number of games you can attend aand if you prefer to pay your 22 quid or or not. Didn't realise we had a committee judging whats an excuse or not.
You can take my post as ou like but I didn't mean it to be critical of people who do buy them. If you don't give a stuff little need to comment.

Perhaps you feel that because you've had a season ticket donkey's years and you've done this that and tuther for the club la de da de da it means it automatically gives you the edge over the rest of us making your sarcastic opinion right and giving you licence to talk down to the fans' that prefer to buy, as for a committee we would struggle to agree on a poster to win the Mr. negativity title' so many to choose from, perhaps if you won it you could add it to your ever expanding WTW portfolio.

| It's a personal choice to buy a season ticket or not but to say you're not getting one because of the performance of our last match is just looking for excuses not to buy one. I always get a season ticket it's my ticket out of the house every other Sunday afternoon following a club that's important to me. Just like many on here my family have been supporting WTRLFC for generations and I want a strong WTRLFC to follow and the more season tickets we sell mean the stronger we become. The way the club has turned things around on and off the pitch over the last 12 months and the new league format next season the club needs our support and the more season tickets holders the better got a feeling next season will be a belter

| I will buy my season ticket even though on average I miss 3 to 4 home games each season. I go to every game expecting the worse but sometimes they surprise me and put on a performance like Salford which I missed.
I am not fitted with rose tinted glasses I realise the club we are and the position we are in the RL family. I suppose we could be considered the Wimbledon of RL not greatly liked but always a worry to any club that plays us.
I like many support Wakefield because I was born here and they are my team, I couldn't think of supporting anyone else. If the club ever disappeared I would walk away from rugby league.

| The Salford and HKR game summed up Wakey to a t.
Expecting a tough game against Salford with a lightweight Wakey pack but getting on the front foot early doors and winning comfortably.
Turning up against HKR expecting a good performance with the same lightweight pack but Rovers pack and subs bench were too much this week.
Webster has it under control and understands we need to start bullying teams in the middle.

| Not one person on this thread has said they are not buying a ST simply because of the HKR result. For most the game was just the last straw of many that has helped them make up their minds. The real issue here is, what comes first, season ticket sales or performance on the field? Cas managed a pretty good season this year. Was that on the back of increased ST sales last year? I don't know but I doubt it. If me and a few others buying a ST is so important why have we been struggling ever since we came in to SL when we did buy tickets? The point that many "not buying posters", including me, are making is that the performance on Sunday and many others like it, is the reason that a lot of committed fans and new supporters won't buy STs. Did you see fans leaving BV 15 mins before the end? Did you hear HKR fans singing, "we can see you sneaking out"?
If you want to buy a ST please do so but don't make out that dumb rugby and kickings from teams below us in the league is the fault of supporters not buying STs.

| I have seen fans of all clubs leaving early we are not unique in that respect. I would also point out that Hull KR were above us or are you referring to Bradford a team we perennially have a problem beating.
We have struggled but not every season however unlike some we are still here and have been since we were promoted despite the so called experts predicting our demise each year.
You don't need to buy a season ticket but if you need to justify this decision at least be accurate in your reasoning.

There is a lack of reality amongst many Wakefield Trinity Supporters. I will NOT be lectured by anyone on this site. I have paid my dues. I have had my never miss a game years. I've been around this club I love for 44 years now from 7 to 51. I effing drove in heavy traffic from Scarborough. With a stinking hangover I will add from watching my mates band in a late nighter. 80 miles and some serious traffic jams. 24 quid on the gate to sit with my usual friends in Block D. To see what? A group who appeared at least to not give a fling F about the match and who would have quite happily have had the after match party before the match. Needless to say I didn't stay for the so called party. My feeling was you can stick your party up your lazy complacent aces. I felt taken for granted. This game means nothing. We cant be bothered. Well...I live at distance. I took a look at the programme and counted. I have made 8 games at home. Work and family prevented more. I would have bought an ST but frankly, after that you can shove it. I will attend as I see fit and as I see a club and a team that looks like it can give a F

I kind of agree to an extent but there was something very very upsetting o me as a 40 yearer too. They just didn't care. It was obvious. They had knocked off 80 mins early. Season over. Never mind your cash, your effort to get there. Well, I'm sorry...NOT ACCEPTABLE TO ME. So you can keep your season ticket. I might change my mind if Mr Carter comes out and apologises to us for that disgraceful and cringingly embarrassing display and offers me a few quid off the season ticket as sincere gesture that I in any way matter as a supporter, a thing that most of those players seemed not to care about.
