May be worth asking the UKIP councillor to raise some of those points at the council meeting on Wednesday, particularly asking the council why, if it is supposedly in their power to draft a new multi-party agreement with Newcold contributing towards the trigger point, they refuse to do so?

Also, if what's been said is indeed true then the council are even worse I thought. Why on earth would you actively choose to hinder the development of community sports facilities at a time when they're shutting so many down?

Well i think this is going to be a unpopular post but here goes anyway, first of all i would like to say a big well-done to all in the trust for keeping the fight going but it is mentioned a few times in that statement that we or the trust would still like the monies that WMDC said they would put in all those years ago, yet only a couple of days ago i heard Mr carter on a radio interview say that Wakefield trinity did not want any money from the council, so i think both parties need to get there stories straight going forward.
Secondly I don't know if it is meant as sarcasm or a serious statement when the words "we seem to recall" have been used, if it's sarcasm i think this could just put the backs up of Mr box and co if it's a serious statement then i think it will just be brushed aside,
I thought i had read that the trust had sought legal advice, surly they would have advised against that statement.
And my last point and i could well be wrong on this one but wasn't a Cas fan coming on here all those years ago telling us that newcold was going to be a stand alone project and would not count towards the trigger point long before it was passed.
Anyway sorry to be negative but i am just not feeling positive on any outcome of all this.

Well I think it's more of a case the club have been trying to force the council to actually enforce the planning conditions and trying to stress to people that that is what we're mostly interested in rather than getting money from them. Then the council have come out this week and said that the offer of £2 million is still on the table, which we'd have to be completely stupid to turn down. The most important thing though still remains them enforcing the planning conditions, otherwise the £2 million is completely useless.

I don't know, if the trust the club and the council had all been in talks as trb continually tells us they have been then surely everyone knew that the funding was still on the table.

I think people are making too much of what Michael Carter said. The council said they'd give us the £2 million years ago, and have said they're happy to still give it so I don't really see the issue unless you're just looking to push an anti-Wakefield agenda like Tigertroll. The main thing we want is them to actually enforce their planning laws. I reckon if the council said right, we'll draft a multi-party agreement that says Newcold does contribute to the trigger point but you have to find the other £2 million somewhere else then the trust would probably agree because actually enforcing the planning conditions is infinitely more important.

Which part do you see as been factually wrong, also i didn't realise there was a time limit required on the forum to make you "not a troll" but as i said before i am not too bothered about upsetting the forum police.

I suppose it's factually wrong saying the club are asking for money when the £2 million would actually be spent on a stadium owned by the trust rather than club.

Is Sir Rodney still forming his 4 man trust? And who was supposedly in the 4 man trust. May the best trust win.
