So that's what the difference in score was.. not us actually playing well? We're a different team to 2009 and 2010.

Is this the Johnson you signed from us? The young Paul Johnson? (I know there are two and didn't you get rid of the old one?) Anyway, if it is our Paul Johnson (I know he went east) then until he came to you he had only played in three first grade matches, one of them against Wigan when Cunningham went off injured. He works hard and can tackle well. But it will take time for him to adjust to the demands of first grade rugby. He looked promising at Saints.

Indeed he is
Sadly though we need someone who is established at this level... Starting props need to set a platform and do the tough stuff.... and do it well at that.
Maybe i was being harsh on him with the rice pudding comment but he isn't the answer and it is no fault on him.. signing him as back up is one thing, if he is int he 17 he needs to perform to a higher standard.
Appreciate he is only a kid
AaronBull - you will just make the top 8. are you really that much better than last couple of years???
You have lost your two best players in Orford and Menzies, signed Chav Walker. elima will do well..... thats it for me

I agree, it's a little disrespectful towards the Bulls. You've a much bigger pack and Diskin will prove to be a very good signing. Although you played some good rugby, two tries you scored from scrums were unacceptable. You're certainly an improvement from the McNamara reign but that's expected especially with Potter in charge

we was lucky to pick up two tries from bulls mistakes with interceptions /pick ups taking the score to a respectable defeat but kid you not this will a long haul

| Bit of a lack of creative from your go to men today but they were playing behind a beaten pack for most of the game. The speed of the ruck seemed to cause your guys are fair few problems with both Diskin and L'Estrange making good yardage.
I thought Morrison put himself about early doors but faded as the match wore on. Not a lot of positive to take from this match other than it was only a pre season friendly. I expect Kear will bring some improvement on today's showing for 2 weeks time in Cardiff. Good luck with your off the field problems.

| I think some of you can't bring yourselves to acknowledge that this was a far better Bulls side and a far better Bulls performance than you have been used to of late. So instead you run your own side down far more than I reckon is justified.
Early on you were pretty good, especially in defence - and especially when you held us out for was it six sets on the trot? But the strength of the respective benches really showed I thought. This showed increasingly in the second half, as you did what we did all the time last season and became increasingly desperate and made mistakes as a result. We, by contrast, took to multiple offloads that (for a Bulls fan starved of exciting play for too long now) were a joy to watch.
I though Morro was everywhere, and there was far from any shortage of effort - look at how Blaymire (was it?) somehow got the ball back into the field of play and copped a knock for his trouble. That lad Johnson looked good. OK, King dropped the ball a few times. But what I saw was a bit like Bulls last year - a side short of troops putting in plenty of effort but in need of reinforcements.

| There was a lot of laying on - two sides attempting the Wigan style wrestle but lacking the requisite skills are always going to get penalised a lot. There's an art to this particular spoiling tactic that neither us or the Dulls have mastered.
I hope that his intolerance for it today is an indication that the refs have been told to get on top of it in the coming season.

lol, not a clue!
Watching Wakey reminded me of watching Bulls in the friendlies over the last couple of years, that sinking feeling that you know it's going to be a long season.

| As one of the few Trinity fans there today, i could not fault the effort. We scrambled and worked hard in the first half, second half was always going to be hard. Score imo slightly flattered us, i got the impression Bradford had a lot more in the tank. It is a bit unfair to pick anybody out today for special comment. Far too cold for that, supposed to be a summer game. I literally couldn't walk back to the car, feet were frozen. I only warmed up when a couple of Bulls fans were taunting us after the game. The Bulls fans at h/t were sympathetic to our cause, but thought we deserved to lose out on a franchise. Very poor attendance, very quiet as well.

Is that your honest opinion.
Worrincy Reardon and Sheriffe Out - that would be a positive without any replacements. Sibbit in as backup in Worrincy's place - if you watched the game today you'll notice he's alot more valuable to the team than Worrincy. Raynor, Ainscough & Ah Van in to compete for those wing spots - and you may have noticed today, Ah Van isn't too shabby, Aincough is young & improving and Raynor has something to prove and is putting in 100% every game.
Glenn Hall, Sculthorpe out - Bryn Hargreaves in their place along with Kopzcak, Crossley & Burgess a year further developed with the last 2 competing to get time now. Hall was shocking last season & Sculthorpe didn't play, so Bryn Hargreaves who was one of the most consistent forwards in the league last year is a good replacement.
Menzies out - Everyone was sad to see him go, but he's 38 & we have a good replacement in Elima.
Nero out - we were weak in the centres last season, so we have brought Walker in to compete with Platt, Sykes & Ah Van for a spot. Improvement on last season.
Godwin out, Diskin in. Anyone going to say that isn't a good change?
Orford out - he played 12 games, got injured, didn't honour his contract. Okay when on the pitch he was excellent, but there's no point having a quality player sat out every week. We have Herbert who looks okay, obviously not in the same class but will do a job and has lots of improvement in him (Southernwood's coming on nicely too)
Briggs in - finally a genuine stand -off. This kid has lots to prove, and early signs suggest he will do so. No more playing Sykes at stand-off. This is obviously an improvement.
Royston brought in as cover too - we had one of the thinnest squads in SL last year and we needed extra back up.

| OH ok sorry - i have changed my mind..... I think Bradford will be top 4.. do me a favour.
Walker, Raynor and Sibbitt are all pretty much last chance saloon as far as I am concerned ... in my opinion.
When I said I that I thought youd be 8th this was on the balance I think there are 7 stronger starting 13s, 17s and squad in SL than you with big game players.. match winners... not because you have just beated us in a friendly.
Wigan, Saints, Leeds, Wire, Hudds, Hull KR IMO area head of Bradford. Hull FC are there or there abouts

I think that is fair enough.
I think KR have a better 13 than us, but imo we have a bit more depth and if injuries come we have a chance of top 6.
I know we're not world beaters, but I also know we are a hell of alot stronger than last year. (You have to remember the biggest change of all too, getting rid of a useless clown and replacing him with Mick Potter)

That's good news - his attitude and aggression couldn't be faulted last season; hopefully he's bulked up a bit and will be able to withstand the knocks a bit better this time around.
Cracking lad with a great future.
