What about Fletchers try in the semi-final at Headingley in 1979? Another speedy winger that we had before being inevitably poached by Leeds was David Smith. My favourite Trin winger since I started watching them in 1956 has to be Jan Prinsloo. His appearance/trys scored ratio hasn't been beaten, I believe. I remember him moving into the house opposite me when he moved to Wakey from St. Helens. The lady next door who thought she was a bit "above" the rest of us genuinely believed him to be a South African prince- Prince Loo!!!

We will not lose Tom because of this try. We will only lose him if we can't provide the pathway to success, recognition and reward that his talent deserves.

When Yorkshire radio keep saying he is the most exciting prospect in super league and that if anyone gets the chance they should go and see him you know that it's only a matter of time before big money will be offered but I really hope we can keep him.

We had all seen Tom's attacking prowess in previous games and he was at it again, setting up Miller's try but, the work from his own wing on 3 occasions ranks as some of the best defence seen on a rugby field in many, many years.

Firstly I will say I hope TJ is at Trinity for a good few years to come as the only way I can see him being allowed to leave is if Trinity go down.

It is early in his career however I am happy to say he proved me wrong and I am now a fully paid up member to the TJ fan club.

With Charnley seemingly going to Union I was asked the other day who I would prefer to replace him Carney or Johnson and I said Carney (who has been strongly linked to the move). After today however I think I would prefer Johnson even though I hope it doesn't happen.

He seems to love playing for Wakefield and a good few years at Belle Vue followed by a stint in the NRL I feel could be great for him. He certainly has the right style to play in the NRL.

Not sure if England Knights is a thing anymore but if it is he should be the first name on the team sheet. A full England call, even if a shirt may be a bit premature, would also be great for him and his development.

For those who have watched his development has he ever played Centre or Fullback?
