Even though not really a film until the dvd release I enjoyed watching the TV drama 'Joby' not so long ago, great to see a shot of where I was brought up, some Addingford shots and a scene at the old Lupset Airport!

I have to take issue with that - I think Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction are two of the most iconic films of the modern era; they changed the game!

New s.hit has come to light by the way - The Big Lebowski; a work of true genius. The dude abides.

I thought you would -iconic in what way, changed the game in what way. I don't see it, all I see is a guy making over long short films with sound bite dialogue, no narrative, no sympathetic characters - but then what would you expect from an emotional retard like him.

In terms of importance - the script, casting, non-linear story-telling, pop-culture references, soundtrack, direction; it changed the game in terms of updating the american noir genre for a new generation - like him or not like him, he made a massive impact.

I have to say that I agree with you about Inglorious - I thought it was rubbish; I have high hopes for Django Unchained because I've got affection for the western genre, but on his recent form, I won't be surprised if I'm disappointed.

Speaking of which, True Grit - fantastic movie, both versions.

I just don't like him or his films, the nicest thing I can say is he's a Marmite director - no need to guess what I think is there.

Not seen the new True Grit but I love Jeff Bridges (very under rated) - Ill add Thunderbolt and Lightfoot to my list while I'm at it.

I enjoyed the film, but come on how did they not spot that hole behind the poster!

Jeff Bridges is one of my very favourite actors - he was also fantastic in Crazy Heart. If I were to have a man-crush, it would be on Jeff.

Best: Pulp Fiction or any of the Jason Bourne series.

Worst: Any of the Star Wars guff.

If only it were that simple, I've got the Derek and Clive CD and luv it, never been offended by on screen sex or violence in or out of context (turn it off if it upsets you I say) - I just don't think he does either with any kind of skill, he can make his crap films all day for me just so long as I don't have to watch it.
