| Todays performance was shocking BUT the team on the pitch bears no resemblance to next years proposed team so I see no sense in spitting the dummy out and not buying a ticket just for that non effort today.
I've bought mine based on some of the outstanding performances earlier in the reign of JW (and TS) and I think that's the way to look at it.

| WTW simply cannot afford to keep putting in performances like that.... They continually ask for support and patience from the fans however when the players put up displays like that then fans are going to stay away, season ticket sales will fall, ticket sales in general will fall and revenue will fall. If Wakefield can put together a decent side that gives 100% then crowds will follow, but the players have to show the fans something more than they did today. I was at Hull KR away, and said then it couldn't get much worse, thought today the lads might have gone out there with a point to prove... how wrong was I!
On a side note I'm hoping JW gives Jowitt Walshaw and Annakin a good run in the team next year... its about time we started bringing our academy lads through! Was disappointed the first two did not feature today.

| It was bad today but nothing hinged on it.
Webster took the decision to send players for operations so they could be fit for the start of next year when the real business starts.
He played a couple of players today who won't be with us next year, so people could make their own minds up whether they should have been retained or not.
Wildie did nothing wrong.
Sykes had an off day, he probably would have been offered a 1 year deal at Wakey but at his age is probably looking for a bit more security.
So for me a bad day at the office, the worst under Webster but what's done is done.

I hope Annakin is kept here rather than loaned to Featherstone. He was one the few who looked genuinely up for it and tackled with a aggression. He is ready for SL

| If you think the purchase of a season ticket should be based on one performance why not Salford at home. What did today's result have to do with buying a season ticket are some of you so fickle.

How about ....
Pride in the colours?
Pride in themselves?
Finishing tenth instead of one place above relegation?
Making yet another distinctly mediocre team look good?
Doing it for the fans?
Finishing the season on a high?
Encouraging more support?
I'm not buying a season ticket for several reasons. Today's performance isn't actually one of them but the total lack of consistency from one game to the next and, indeed, from one minute to the next throughout the season has definitely influenced my decision. I'll still attend games - I may even end up giving the club more money than I would if I'd bought the ST but I'm not going to "invest" my hard earned dosh again if the "product" is sub standard. Just the same as I and many others didn't wait to clap the team on their lap of "honour". What message does it give?

Great stuff. Next season's season ticket sales are based on today's result. A result that by the time next season kicks off will be about 6 months ago. If people are still smarting from today's result in 6 months time they really need to seek psychological help.
Forget this season. The whole point was to avoid the drop. Sure it would have been great to finish 9th or 10th but it didn't happen. Even if we had've it would have meant nothing more than 11th or 12th. I feel honoured to have been mentioned in the race for the 8 knowing that at the start of the season we had already been written off as certainties for the drop.
This season is done. We're still in Super League. Next season is another ride on the rollercoaster. Get your ticket!

| Some supporters don't deserve to have a team to support because it is not the last game that counts but the fact that we survived to play in SL next season.
If you want constant success I sadly cannot recommend a team that wins every week even St Helens were defeated heavily by Catalan.

Exactly this sadly and also why some long standing supporters are also drifting away. What is our average attendance this year about 4k? It speaks volumes and i doubt that is going to change much next season in terms of season ticket sales i'm afraid. Even with the improvement we have seen under Webster we finished the season by losing 5 of our last 7 games, hardly a tempter. And the'we should be greatful to have a club' strapline ain't going to get them flooding through the gates either. Today alone might not be the sole reason why people don't sign up but it is part of the bigger problem.

About the length and breadth of things imo. Crap end to the season but under Webster we've been mighty impressive at times and beat some really good teams. A full off season and a few new faces to add to those we've already bought and hopefully Tim Smith being here from the start of the season, bring on 2015.

You might like 10000 people to buy season tickets but the facts will speak for themselves. This thread is about consistency. The lack of consistency (not whether we win or lose) will affect ST sales. I've not said I won't support Trinity - I really am "Wakefield 'til I die" - but I won't buy a Season ticket this year. My little, probably futile, protest if you like. That doesn't make me any less of a supporter just one with a different view to you.

| All those that are throwing the teddy out of the pram should look at the bigger picture.
Starting 2015 with a more settled team and the prospect of a full pre season to prepare for 2015.
Although yesterdays performance was poor, Webster has P 12 W 6 D1 L5
including victories over Wigan, Leeds and Warrington, form which would see us comfortably in mid table
and finishing in the top 8.
So, take a step back and look at what the guy has done.
There are no guarantee's for next season, there never are, but it hacks me off when so many "supporters"
seem to want to give up after any small set back.
Get behind the Chairman, The Club, The Coach and The Team and roll on next season !

I'm not throwing my teddy out and probably never will. Already had my 2015 Season Ticket in my wallet (resisted the temptation of skimming it onto the pitch at half time )
The fact is that floaters and nearlies will look at the latest form and results and make their decision based on that.
The fantastic feel good factor straight after the Salford victory has been sabotaged.

| I agree the Hull KR game was aweful but to suggest that is the reason not to get season tickets is just ridiculous.
We've had a great run up to that point, and significantly, there was hardly any comment for the wins, but they stuff up once and we have people moaning again.
Not everyone can but a ST, so no problem with those not getting, but don't blame it on this one game.

My thoughts exactly
Get your season tickets bought to give our coach the best chance in the off season to further strengthen our squad. Speaking of consistency Leeds haven't had the best in recent weeks and can't see many loiners not renewing.
I am loud and proud to be a Trinity fan and cannot wait already for next season

Who you protesting against though?????
The team/club you "love 'til you die"??
The board who came in when nobody else wanted to and have been pretty open and honest from the start that they don't have millions to pump in??
The coach, who has come in and turned the team around from where they were. IMO he has done ok with what he has to work with (yesterday & 1st half vs Hudds at home aside?)??

| As a Salford fan, I too know about inconsistency....
What I would say to fans of both our clubs is this:
1: We were both shocking 1st half of season and had it not been for Bradfords point deduction, everyone in SL would have had one of us joining Broncos, however, both teams put together remarkable runs in the latter stages and this is what gives me optimism for both squads in 2015
2: Flair play is definitely inside each squad, WTW absolutely destroyed Salford a couple of weekends ago, and apart from early season when Saints were on fire, no other team had done that to us (excluding the Wigan game at DW as the squad was riddled with a virus)... Ive seen Salford totally mesmerise many teams throughout the season, our problem has been final 20 minute brainfarts
Roll on 2015
