cas panthers thew it all at Stanley in the under 9s match at Stanley , but the Wakefield lads held their nerve to ensure that the unbeaten run continues .

im not too down thought it was a tough game,i was impressed with the 1,7 and i think 11 with the red hair who played to his weight well.

it could have quite easily gone either way but stanley played better across the field where we had too many passengers on the field.

good luck for the rest of the year, sorry i couldnt stay longer after the game but i had a train to catch.

the 1 and 7 have caused quite a few teams the same problem and really do punch well above their weight , as for the red headed 11 he may play to weight well but sometimes he needs to realise that he is still a under 9 and im 36 so what i say goes



in all fairness it was the best team ive seen stanley come up against this year and to say the 6 and 11 show potential is a understatement but then again it was about 20 odd kids who love playing rugby and that was so evident today.

our 6,11 and 10 were very good for us,my lad was the 6 "jake" and he was a bit down on himself for the way he played but he had nothing to be ashamed about,he put a lot of grown men to shame the way he got on with the game despite spending most of the game pooring with blood from his nose.

it was a tough game and the improvment in stanley is very evident from last year,the two big lads are intimidating and the 1,7 play well off the back of them.i look forward to meeting again later in the year at our place and if not their will be an invitation in the post for the festival.

my lads spurted the claret a couple of times but hates to leave the field boys but very brave n committed

Your lad (6) was excellent, real good rugby brain for such a young lad. Certainly the best team we have played this season, and to be fair game could have gone either way. No 7 is my lad, think the stick i have given him during the week about tackling may have worked

He managed to stop your lad twice when he looked certain to score..............but think it was more because ure lad did same to him when he broke clear





some good performances on both sides, a credit to the age group.

you do give im a little stick but its not easy being coach and dad and trying to mange them both on the field of play i ve been there n done that so i take my hat of to you n brayton . the best thing about Stanley this year is that every week one of the quiet players steps up a gear .

I got told season should be up to end of June

yes that's when the preparation is made to step up to the next year, there will be gala events and friendly's

not 100% sure but normally after Easter the rest of the fixtures are released , although it does look a bit light this time round.

maybe they might give us a few others but after we play them 5 we have played all the other 9 group a teams so they might leave it at that.

i couldnt agree more,if you check out the under 10s fixtures they run until june 29th which i think will be the same for us.

also some games will not go ahead,the may 3rd games corrispond with murrayfield magic so i cant see us playing that weekend.we have the scarborough festival on the 26th of april so we will also miss that game too.

you have every chance the big test will come away at heworth,they are big right across the field with lots of pace too.

Westgate v Crigglestone under 17's final at Crofton on the 25th of April, 1.30 KO.

Should be a interesting encounter with both teams battling there way to the final.
