It is, as per Sky's requirement; that was one of the things that forced a change from the original plans - Sky advised that they couldn't get the viewing angle that was required, so the plans had to change.

Split level roof, means the back steps on the Doncaster road side of the stand are still usable, wonder if the front goes straight across or if it steps up with the roof? Again shame it does not go right to the front (pitch side) but lets just be happy that we have walked the walk and not just kept stalling like Tricky Dicky!

Strange place for a gantry behind one end of the sticks. Would mean that the new stand on the western terrace could be extended though.

It's for "end" camera - there has always been a gantry there - have you never noticed the scaffolding??

Might as well considering there will be few away supporters. For those who do stand on the Northern Terrace, they will be impressed with the atmosphere they can generate under the roof. Lets hope it spurs the team on.

I am not for segregation at rugby grounds but I think we really need to cram as many home supporters under this covered terrace! Over the past 18months at Belle Vue it has been very much like a library in terms of atmosphere and I would do anything to recreate the atmosphere/noise we generated at Widnes in round 1.

Yes I agree Mr Glover has put his hand deep in his pocket to provide this facility its a shame if the home supporters don't take the benefit of it.

Beginning to look better than I anticipated.
As others have said If only we could have done it years ago.
Used to sit in East Stand and we all used to say surely a roof on western terrace and north end would not cost that much.
Spent money on other things when ground improvements would have built up crowds, added to atmosphere etc etc.

Home fans need to be down the sides helping the referee spot any forward passes, knock ons and off sides. Just like just about every other side in SL.

The away fans need to be stuck behind the posts (just like most SL grounds) where they can see very little but can contribute to the clubs coffers.

If you can get them to pay a couple a quid extra then all the better.

Come on everyone ! Let's fill the North stand and get the place buzzing. I've always stood behind the sticks and although we hear thr occasional chants from the chav corner and west side it's not loud at all - except for last week when the noise made under the small new stand really did sound great. If we can get all you fans who normally stand in chav corner and down the west side to help us fill the North Stand with home cans then I'm pretty sure with the noise we would create would no doubt lift the lads - something which only happens away from home when we all congregate together like at Widnes, FC etc. it MUST be home fans who pack this new stand out !!!
