| Quote ="Khlav Kalash"Next year will a big tell. Only 1k sold so far, which given the notice and availability is a decent effort, Trinity will not sell the same number of season tickets as they did for this year. I think we will se a drop in average attendances next year, especially without a decent end to the season to boost sales. Hopefully the walk ups will fill the void.'"
I agree, I know a couple that are not renewing and are going to pick and choose their games.
What we need is a couple of really good signings to show we are strengthening our obvioius weak areas and also to create some positive expectancy of the team.

Spot on.
Tuson is a start but a couple of known quality players would boost sales.
I have not yet renewed and am waiting to see what playing staff we have for next season before doing so.

| I got mine straight away. I've been watching for over 30 years but only bought ST with the new setup. The deals are too good not to.
The season probably won't end up as positive as we want but it has been entertaining in my opinion and worth my support and money.

| Bradford did ok for away support yesterday.
Nothing like the hazy crazy days of Bullmania but, somewhere around 1600 wasn't bad.
Saints at home will be a big test for the "faithful".
With our top 8 chances now scuppered, it will be interesting to see what happens to crowd numbers for this one.

| I've already renewed but at the end of yesterday I was wishing I hadn't. Not because of the performance because after 25+ years I'm kinda used to that but the segregation policy is really starting to annoy me.
At the end of yesterdays game we weren't allowed to even wait for the Bradford fans to leave and then exit through the West stand turnstiles. We were told to turn around and go out of the North stand exits. Bearing in mind that the car was parked down the West side of the ground this then meant going out of the North stand and "running the gauntlet" of away fans coming the other way. If the stewards had let us wait we could have followed the Bradford fans out and not had to walk through them all at all.
I know they have their instructions and I don't blame the stewards but the policy is ridiculous.

We wont get back to huge attendances until Bradford start contesting the top 6 i dont think, to many fans crawl under the woodwork, quick to praise but even quicker to condem.
Surprised with the large attendance looks like thinks are going in the right direction for you, really nice to see even if it was a bit of a naff view from the touchline, all i really saw was Robys backside.

| Really impressed with the attendences you guys are drawing in. I think you have always had good away sipport at Belle Vue with the central location for a lot of clubs to get to, but seems like your home support is growing which hopefully will grow further if your new stadium ever arrives. Keep up the good work!

The likelihood of an away victory always helps the travelling support too.

So you wished you didn't renew because rather than be able to walk past the Bradford fans in the ground, you had to walk past them outside of the ground?

| I have renewed my ST but I can also say that I am very disappointed that the ground has suffered from segregation. There is no trend of violence at Wakefield just a couple of isolated incidents (Cas last year and Widnes this year) so why spoil peoples enjoyment.

| I was a actuallybsurprised when the attendance was announced, I thought there was more TBH
We were very busy where we were stood and the north stand looked pretty full.
Glad to see Wakey doing well, think you will break the 10k on quite a few occasions once in your new stadium.

| Crowds will be managed on performance next season. With the covered terrace, the match day experience is much better and we have a stronger squad than possibly ever before in Super League. If we can be pushing around 8th next season, we should see some reasonable crowds. Games against Wigan, Leeds, Castleford, Warrington and Hull should take care of themselves. However, Widnes, KR, Bradford, London, Salford, Huddersfield, Catalan, and Saints will be a little more interesting.
With ticketing prices generally doubling though from early bird charges last year, smaller crowds wont necessarily effect revenue.

No. I was trying to point out the ridiculous and pointless nature of the segregation policy. Surely there is less likely to be trouble in the ground when supporters are passing each other due to stewards etc being present. Forcing people to go out of different exits to only then have to walk through and push past opposition fans going in the opposite direction just causes more tension.
It is the fact that we have segregation full stop that winds me up and actually in my opinion creates more tension and probability of trouble than allowing fans to mingle as they always have done.

Cheers & if all goes to plan mate, I think we will.
I'm constantly wrong at guessing crowds at Belle Vue but I though we might have had a few more in as well.

| The segregation needs to get scrapped quickly, feels really out of place in rl IMO.
The attendance was good to see though and there was a decent atmosphere. Like others have said, shame I missed some of the action.
Happy with the result, good luck for the rest of the season. Hopefully we'll be able to stand together next season! Not fair on you lot being punished when the vast majority want to watch the game with fellow RL fans.

| There's practically segregation in all new stadiums I don't understand why there's talk about it being a new thing. I think it createa a better atmosphere having fans grouped together, although I concede some knuckledraggers will see it as a challenge. Its not something that would ever stop me going to BV.

Those 'knuckledraggers' as you succinctly call them are lifelong fans of this club. If because of the clubs policy their enjoyment of the game is compromised to the extent that they stop attending the club will cease to be quite rapidly. And from in my experience over the last few games there are plenty of people unhappy with the arrangements.
You say there is segregation in practically all new stadiums. Yes there is, but the keyword there is NEW. They are designed to accomodate that, with clearly defined sections, entrances and seperate facilities for that particular area. They also have better viewing standards than old grounds. Belle Vue isn't designed for segration and no amount of rope partitions will make it so. People would have accepted it with a move to a new ground, but whilst a BV it just won't work and do nothing but pee people off.

Thanks for that.
Although the atmosphere may have improves, exchanging views with other supporters was always one of the plus points in attending games and BV was one of the few places where supporters of either team were free to move around freely.
The place may be noisier than before and there is no doubt that the new stand does keep the rain off, mixing with other fans on the Western Terrace at BV was always enjoyable.
Just as an aside, a couple of pals who are genuine RL fans and take usually take in a couple of games if they can on Sundays came to Wakey on Sunday and weren't familiar with the "new" segregation thing.
They always came and stood with us (on the Western Terrace) and only one of them was in Triinity colours.
The guy in "plain clothes" went as usual onto the Western Terrace but, his pal (dressed in a Trinity shirt) was prevented from standing with him.
Fortunately I spotted him and he stood with us under the roof but, never mind its progress.

I say knuckledraggers when referring to the supporters who see segregation as a barrier to either stand on the perifery to yell abuse at the opposing fans or worse still see it as infiltrating and cause bother. The type who were recently issued banning orders for exmple.
With respect to BV, I dont disagree its not a ground easily segregated however that wasn't my point. People are saying its a sad day that segregation has ben introduced at RL games as though Trinity are the first ones to go down this route.

| I'm happy with the changes. They are done with safety in mind. There have been comments about it causing problems but I don't see a massive calling for it to be scrapt.
I'm lucky that I didn't stand down the western terrace so less affected but I can't see the big deal.
I'd rather the idiots are managed better but it looks like we can't so this is the solution.
