Just a couple of points, the pics you are seeing on here are coming from the Club and all the corporate film flam you talk about on the website without it we would not have a club, where do you think the money comes from?

I don't think AG tells you because I don't think he really wants your input...no offence but I'm sure AG is a better business man that you and probably has all your worries covered and then some. Letting us know about all the "nitty gritty" would not be productive as most of the clubs fans (myself included) are massively under-qualified to even have an opinion on it.

i won't be satisfied until there's a live hd webcam of the work, with some of the lasses off babestation in the foreground. the way the club is neglecting the fans is a disgrace.

It looks like it, I'm really looking forward to seeing it, I'm surprised it's only going to take them 2 weeks to get it up. Has anymore been said about the seats under the flats? I know that we had issues with ambulance access but Glover said they were trying to work round it.

I must say, I'd imagined the stand to cover the whole terrace not just the back, I'm slightly worried that this doesn't match what was planned last June. When the article compared the plans to an A-grade licence they wrote this.

"2b: At least 12,000 of stadium capacity is under cover
10,000 of the stadium capcity will be under cover"

Correct me if I'm wrong but it doesn't look like the 2 new stands will cover 10,000 out of 12,000 people. Could this possibly affect our licence?

The Hostility blocks and East stand will also cover a lot of people.

That’s what was proposed, however what is planned doesn’t always come to fruition once put into practise. The plans have been amended (7000 covered I think) and the RFL have been updated on the progress and are happy with it. Put it this way, would Andrew Glover have bothered wasting the money and effort to get these covers up if the RFL were to say it’s not good enough after they have been installed?

No, the RFL are happy with whats been done.

i was thinking of the proceeding 90+ years as well! the fact that it can be as good as sorted in a fortnight is pretty sobering.

Not only sobering but it shows what we have been missing and what the right people can achieve in such a short space of time, with the right plan and a bit of vision.

Fair point well made, but if the plans were forced to change so much that we couldn't have made the criteria, we'd stand a better chance with the RFl is we were almost complying than not at all. But that's all pretty irrelevant I suppose as long as the RLF are happy with it.

Indeed, think I read somewhere Trinity lose approximately £30k per match when it rains, so only 10 rainy days are needed in the next two to three years for the stands to pay for themselves. Lets hope for a wet summer.

Thinking back only 50 years there used to be a very large covered stand where the "hostility" blocks (I like that name

) are now. It was basically a tin roof but in principle no different to what is being put up now. If it rained most standing fans were in there. If I remember rightly - and that's not certain nowadays! - you did used to get a great atmosphere in there.

I think you'll find that the roof was asbestos cement but you are right it was a fantastic atmosphere in there.

The South Stand was demolished because someone deemed it to be "unsafe". Unsafe, it was steel and when demolished all the terracing went with it, not just the stand. Another mystery at this great Club but lets not dwell on the past.

I presume the stand will be going the full length of the terrace (or atleast the majority of it)? I know its still early days, but the supports look like they only going half the length of the terrace so far
