Nothing to do with refs, some strange selections, really poor game management throughout whole season, right hand side defense weakness mainly due to coach playing a prop at second row, that is what has cost us points this season. We need to learn to play a conservative, measured, low risk game. In spells in some games this season we managed to do this, Wigan at home was a good example where for several plays we looked like the team knew what play was on, who would be taking the ball and where we would be finishing the set. Most of the season we have looked disorganized and unstructured. We have looked at our best when Hampshire is at 7, Randell at 9 , Woody coming of the bench, Jowitt at full back, Batch in the second row, and most importantly Paulie coming of the bench for very short spells and playing in the middle. You have got to wonder what the coaching team discuss when you see some of the selections they make. Also always take the two and lets learn a structured drop goal set.

Wakefield could be in real trouble if results go the way they are at the moment with both Catalan & Huddersfield looking like their heading for unlikely victories.

If we do end up surviving the qualifiers then for me Chester has got to go. I've no confidence in him taking us forward anymore. His constant team tampering has lost us all confidence and momentum at a vital point of the season.
He finally drops under performers for players who have performed. Then he tampers to put these players back in who then surprise surprise under perform. What must it be like for a fringe player at wakey to know that whatever you do you won't play the following week. Or if you do it'll be out of position. He's another Agar for me, got a strong team full of quality but in the wrong hands.

Take a good look at that League Table Chester and try and get some bloody motivation going in the camp. I don't want to be stood on the Western Terrace tomorrow and see you pale a REMOVED yourself on the big screen.

I said after 8 matches that to me Finn and Grix could be a major problem to the success this season And I have been proven right .Ok Grix got injured would not wish that on any player weather he played for Wakey or not. After the performances of Finn especially in the second part of the season been alowed to come straight back in the team after 3 wins and a close defeat is disgusting. If we lose on Friday it will mean we could be in the bottom 8 through the stubbenes of the coach.

We’ll also see the commitment of the players tomorrow wether they stand shoulder to shoulder against the Leeds early onslaught or buckle under the pressure ,which I have to say has somewhat been brought about by their sketchy performances throughout this season .

I agree with quite a few comments on here, too much tinkering around right through the team. There’s also been some head scratchers when it comes to recruitment. Horo wasn’t required and he’s certainly not or ever was the headliner international signing he was billed up to be. His signing has limited the game time of Batchelor and Crowther.
Pauli just seemed like an obsession with size which goes against the grain of the direction the games moving (less interchanges, lighter, faster, stronger forwards) Fifita is an exception rather than the norm.
Wakefield’s best performances have often had Arona at loose forward where he goes about his business quietly but very effectively but for some reason he’s not wanted and has found himself on the bench or ‘rested’. There’s more but all in all it’s been a poor season from Chester considering the squad available him.

Well I have been watching Trinity for many years. Superleague is still relitvely recent to me. However we have been in it for 20 years and in my opinion this is our strongest ever squad. We have had numerous really close scrapes and managed to stay in SL with far worse squads. If we get relagated with this lot it will be inexcusable.

It looks like other teams want it so bad but yet Wakey at times look as if it's a chore to play. I said it a while ago it looks as if Chesters taken us as far as HE can. lets hope were all wrong & he pulls his finger out

I do feel like this is your best squad you've had for a very long time. Maybe not your best 13 but certainly your best all round squad in terms of quality in depth for all positions.

20 rounds in and for me if you asked Chester what his best team was, he probably doesn't know.

You're squad is far stronger than Leeds, Huddersfield and catalan in my opinion.... A first round loss in the cup and finishing in the middle eights would be a failure I'm sure you'd agree, when most (certainly myself) thought you'd be competing for a top four place again this year.

Really didn't envisage you being in this position at any point.

But get a win tonight and all the pressure is relieved and you can hopefully enjoy the last 8 or 9 games from your side.

The benefit is Chester can use them to get his combinations right.

I personally don't think he should go, I'd give him another season. Realistically you're not in any danger and are still developing. I'm not certain he's the man to push Wakefield into being perennial competitors at the top end, but I do think he hasn't fulfilled his potential just yet

leeds play the 2 bottoms sides - do you think those teams would want leeds or wakey in the bottom 8???? I know who I would want.

Imo Wakey haven't moved on since Kear did.
I think JK knew without extra investment, he'd took Wakey as far as he could.

To form an opinion you have to base that on knowledge not on other peoples opinions and predudices.
